Im watching all of these videos. You guys have been such a help for us planning our April 2024 trip. I'm going to be sad when the last video comes up. I've so enjoyed the format, your personalities, you're both very delightful. And I find myself smiling through them all. Thank you. Such hard work pays off
When exiting the tender at the pier, you arrive at the start of the Ironman Race. On the pier a non-profit organization (Destination Kona Coast) supplies some relaxing Hawaiian music and sometimes a hula dancer. Their booth is nearby where they can answer questions about local shops and activities. There is a bus down Alii Drive and a bus to get to Walmart. Inside the hotel there at the pier is a historic display with canoes and a number of shops. As you saw, you can walk south through Kona town easily. Up and to the left of the pier is a chocolate company and Kona Brewing Company; my favorite is the Captain Cook pizza sand Dukes Blonde Ale. Thanks for showcasing a bit of our island!
Remember, folks.... unless you can afford to pay big bucks for a house and big bucks for groceries, do not attempt to move to any of the islands. We do appreciate you visiting, sharing your worlds with us and spending your money. Aloha.
Thankee! Eh, I tend to lump those last two syllables together, ha ha… funny to have the accent on the last syllable, but that’s true that I’ve heard most people pronounce it that way!! :P ~Jay
Hi folks, I have enjoyed your vlog. We are doing the same cruise in February and really like the idea of the Turo car rental. Have never used them will they drop the car off near the port. I notice the one in Mauii seemed to be very close as you walked there.
Yes, you're able to communicate with the host ahead of time to determine a pickup spot for the vehicle, if they offer delivery. They typically can't come into the port with the car, but they can meet you just outside the security gate area somewhere.
I am enjoying your Hawaiian vlogs so much and really looking forward to the Kauai one tomorrow. My husband and I honeymooned in Kauai in 1983 and stayed at the Kauai Resort (which I believe has been bought out by another resort). I remember sitting on the beach during our honeymoon and watching the cruise ship come in. Going back to Hawaii in on my bucket list. Hope to get it checked off. Enjoy yourselves and keep on vlogging!!
Thanks for the videos. Jay, think about getting a rash guard or even a SPF shirt. They are quick drying and probably more comfortable than a regular t-shirt. Just got some for my nephew. 3 pack for $30 on Amazon.
Can anyone tell me if there are taxis near the pier please? We're thinking of renting a car but will have to get to the airport to get one big enough for our party of 6. Trying to get to a coffee or cacao farm if anyone has suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Thank you! Mahalo! 😊

Looked like a totally awesome day, but I'm tired just watching you. Love the pineapple 🍍socks!
That was the best turtle.
So jealous you got to eat at Umecki's! That is one of my "must eat at" places in Kona. The poke is top notch. I also love their fish tacos.
Ok... that Bacon Wrapped Cajun Shrimp sounds really good!!
Great snorkling Dee! So many beautiful fish & looked like a eel too... Love the casual no rush day...

I wish I had your spirit of adventure. I'm still nervous to venture off too far from the cruise line excursions. Love the vids
We're stopping at k
I am so enjoying everything y'all are sharing. This is definitely a dream vacation! Just a side note....acai is pronounced ah-sah-EE. 😊

You guys do a lot of walking. You earned your shaved ice treat😁
I love the wandering exploring days! It's fun to have plans, but sometimes you gotta go with the flow. 😊👍
The fan is to keep flies away. We have them when we go camping. The one side has a reflective material on it.
Another GREAT vid - Y’ALL are the BEST!!❤️
We spen a couple of hours at that beach as well, lots of crew spent time there too
Love the apple bananas

The puffer fish were so cute!
I worded my question wrong earlier. I meant to ask… do you remember which exact CRUISE you went on? I’d like to book that EXACT cruise! 😃
Hah, gotcha! It’s Norwegian Cruise Line ship Pride Of America. I believe the itinerary is always the same each week. We did the June 4th sailing.
I toured Hulihee Palace. Interesting place for a stop.
Mornin!!❤
Good morning!
Your videos are so relaxing, keep them coming and greetings from San Diego.
We went to Hilo Hattie in Honolulu back in the 80's
Good job guys!
9:00 mark - We were in Kona in January and stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott - King Kamehameha. I spent time on that very same beach!
Love the snorkeling, beautiful footage ☺️
love Hilo Hatties!

Kikie beach is my favorite! Was in Hawaii at the same side of the island in Wiakola. 20 mins North.
Such pretty fish
I liked that beach

Thank you for bringing us along!
Do you know which exact cruise you took? I would LOVE to book this!!!! It looks perfect! Love your channel ! It’s moved up the ranks to my favorite!😁
In Kona, we didn’t take any tour. Just freestyle!! :P
I meant cruise…. Sorry
Norwegian Pride of America does the same cruise all year long.
Can anyone tell me if there a night that they have lobster and filet mignon?
I don’t remember tendering when we went to Kona back in 2012, but I guess we did
We didn’t get to tender to Kona because of rough sea. Maybe that’s why.
Just curious, How much were the Hawai'ian shirts at Hilo Hatties? Compared to $99+ on board the ship?

Where did you rent your snorkel gear ..cost?
Good morning ya'll
What kind of camera and zoom do you use? Enjoy your videos
Thankee! We put all our gear in the description of every video for the tech curious!! :P
Is there alcohol in the drinks at umeekes?
👍👍
Dee I love your skirt. Where is it from?
Walmart!! :D
Goji berries and bee pollen
the lizard is a hawaiian gecko. 🦎
Actually I think it's a Madagascar Day Gecko, not native to Hawaii but very prolific.
My wife and I loved our trip to Kona a few years back. Less touristy and all the open air restaurants. 🤙🛳❤️🏝🍹
