In the wet months I'd add a small bag of lime in a burlap sack to keep moisture in air minimized. I'd add a tablespoon of bleach to a gallon of water and vent rear to front and no drafts. Birds body temp is 107° with 7 air sacs. Fed whole Spanish peanuts on Wednesday for Saturday race. Fat reserves used 3 days later. And of course the poop/ sneeze check at night. A perfectly round poop with a white Crest of urine on top with a few down feather surrounding poop and that bird is in form and condition. "Box Him Up"! Hes your winner. Especially if the wings hang with a slight droop when hes asleep preferably on a block sleeping. Put a casanova in there and he'll come like a rocket when you box him.
You could raise up your water container and build a protective cover over water container ... to keep droppings off ... you want to put a clean piece of ply board enough to cover feeder on floor and put feeder on top so birds don't eat contaminated droppings that might have worms in it .... 😕 clean board on every feelings ...

Perhaps your will put the rings on the right leg and upside down . It is easiest way to hold bird in right hand and turn ring with left hand as reading off the ring number when getting checked by others at the association on basketing night for a race and getting race ring on the left leg they used to require them that way so all birds same way . As will have many hundreds to check. But maybe different these days with the electronic trapping systems and special rings used.
Was watching ready for breeding. You showed a bbc in breeding cage. Worried about loosing him. I strongly suggest any prisoner breeders have double doors. If not it’s not if you lose birds it’s when! Further wire floor with tray is best.
I got this really nice younge pigeon he is so beautiful and looking really good he is a good flyer .BUT HE GOT STRINGE ON HIS LEG . I always see him by my windows hanging around
