That's my Dad ❤ I started off on my own when I was 18, in 1987, and then Dad joined me in 1989, and we never looked back. We started racing on the North Road flying down into Cambridge. After a few years we went south to try our hand at the Nationals. We have yet to win one, but we have won our section several times and our best Open position is 6th. Our pigeon "Reliable" was the Ace pigeon for our NFC section last year, Dan has the first young birds bred from him this year. We sincerely hope they help Dan establish a long distance team.
Really enjoyed this Video, what a Gentleman to bread you some young birds to help start you off on your long distance racing, look forward to these birds progress good luck with them. Good luck monday in your race.
What can I say Dan, just lovely to watch, and now to hopefully see you have success with the birds. Best of luck and thank you. I will treasure this video and watching my Dad, like you say I never get tired of talking with him

@@johncallaghan8854 nope, I share not even 15% of my genes with my great grandfather. We are talking about pigeons who lived 60 years ago and earlier. How many generations are there between now and then? How many "pollution" of genes? There is no Jan Aarden strain anymore. That is just a fact.

@@johncallaghan8854 so you telling me a white pigeon from another loft, that has no genetics attached to tho original strain, can be a Jan Aarden? Lovely video continues !!!××
Where is the best place to find pigeon loft building plans?
Nice color of your dark black i think thats the good one enjoy flaying

Our birds are tamed like Spanish mustangs...
I think the climates differ greatly. It rarely gets above 30°C here so your birds would want a jacket 😁
