I've been obsessed with cars pretty much since birth, and I would probably try to get in the picture just so my friends knew I actually saw that shit on the street, instead of just downloading a cool car picture. usually, I'll just shoot the car from a few different angles, but an indy car on a public roadway makes things kinda different.

I've been to four of the last nine Barrett-Jackson auctions and that is almost exactly what I do. I do keep one hand in front to hold the bidder pass flat against my chest so that it doesn't accidentally touch the car and the other behind my back.
I definitely want to make it clear to anyone looking that I'm not touching it. That said, I've seen people open doors to look inside even ones marked as already sold.

I am an aerodynamics system engineer for gator motorsports, a formula sae team. Our rear wing is only rated at 200 pounds of downforce at top speed and approximately 100 pounds of drag. I can assure you pushing our car by the rear wing will crack it at least so it makes sense I would cringe.
An IndyCar is designed for Indianapolis, they're going to be able to resist much more downforce than a Formula SAE car. Plus engineers pushing cars by the wing happens in F1 all the time.
I call bullshit on you being an engineer. I push my car all day by my voltex wing and have never had an issue, I've even used it to tow my car out of a ditch from a crash at seca. Zero issues with cracking, Wing is still straight, and its still living on to the 3rd engine in my build. Now I'm no professional engineer, I'm just a hobbiest, but I calls it like I sees it
