Try a city at 200k with proper city density 😅 That‘s where the real problems start, if not already at 100k. Even with public transport commuting 20k people it‘s just a nightmare where you have to create completely unnatural things.
For your beachfront, I suggest creating a pedestrian zone with a promenade running right along the beach (right on the border between the green grass and sand). Then have part of it as a residential area with posh beachfront houses facing toward the sea and a tourist area with some low density commercial. Add some hotels too.

Fortunately, I have never had to move house in my life. I’ve moved from one location to another several times but the house stayed behind 😜 Edit: I would have tried a variant of the SPUI there. Have the highway go underground. Connect the highway ramps to the ends of a 4 lane bidirectional road that intersects the local road. Bring the highway back above ground after the junction.
It's easier when you move the house as you don't have to pack and then unpack everything. Just tie everything down and you're ready to go. :) Of course your neighbours might not be so thrilled if you live in a semi-detached (duplex) or townhouse (row house) but it's not as you'll be there anymore to hear them complain.

That lake screams for a recreational use (boat ramps/jet skis in a general/public use area) with some high scale housing on a corner of the lake - the posh rich folks in the gated community who believe the lake is theirs. And of course an older style neighborhood on one side.
Hello Biffa, how about a swimming area for tourists? i believe it may add to your tourism count. I am loving this new series, for sure. Thanks a bunch for your hard work, and i pray you recover quickly from your moving house saga :) xx
With the transportation, I always wondered why people look at the lines and don't remove stops that have only 2 people waiting when other stops have over 100. It does not fix the problem in itself, but when you have multiple extra stops that are barely being used, you lengthen the wait times at the busy stops unnecessarily, which contributes to the problem.
this is so crazy. when you built ONE tile of the map to its max full with high rises, you only reached about 50k inhabitants. here you have just a small settlement with family houses and you already got almost 5k people. in vanilla, the set capacity for houses is so unreal. like you have a 8 story high rise with 8 appartements. but anyway, love the name of the city too! ^^

I've got two ideas for the Hotel Name: First one, Hugosleephere Resorts, a little wordplay with the city name. Second, Hugo Slavia Resorts. Maybe He could have been the founding father of this town (or is named as such in the founding myth which often aren't 100% true). Or he opened his first hotel in Hugoslavia when it was still a little settlement since he believed in the natural beauty of the town and started its first golden age. Whatever it is, the city got its name in honor of this man's legacy.

Fundamental: when placing services, place them where the circle of influence covers the most population. don't place them on outter ring roads (or near the beach).
Before you said nature reserve for your lake I was thinking it, it's the perfect spot for it. I also feel good names for a waterside area would be Lipton Ice Sea (instead of Ice Tea), The Dead Tea or The Red Tea.
This hotels dlc needs an update, it is very hard to please the needs of the hotels. Realistically you can always walk a few blocks for shopping and offices and parks, doesn't have to be directly across from it.
It is such an annoyance to me, I have hotels that have all but one bar filled. Or perhaps a one or a two in the office or shopping bars, but I don't want to ruin that block by replacing residential..

and so do i
Loving the series so far!! Can’t wait to see the city grow 😊
Hey Biffa, good luck with the house move mate, I know how stressful it is having done it a few times. Get your family sorted, and we all look forward to your videos when you are all settled in!
I can’t believe you’re doing this without move it or anarchy 🙈
😮
Or even Traffic Manager only to disable despawning
12:40 It screams Blue / Yellow Ike-ai! (Ikea)
WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOT A THROUGH ROAD?!
Hahah Oh my days, I've had this experience irl.
Was playing 4d chess with a parking structure... I lost..
You're adding too much parking, just add more public transport lines or options.
Or more dedicated bike lanes ^^
I found it funny how you have pretty much the exact recommended specs for cities skylines 2
Nature reserve surrounding the lake sounds great.
"Dan! Get back in the truck and tell Linda to fire up the crane! Biffa's ordered more rocks for Hugoslavier again!"
"Cor how many's it this time?"
"Three for a shopping mall and a couple for a school. Says he needs them stuffed inside eachother again."
"That'll be it for the weekend with the lads then again, eh."
"I'll tell them you won't make it."
Lovely work, mate. Time always flies watching your builds!
Considering what other mods that they have included in the core game it is amazing that something like Move It has not.
More fire departments!!!! He said "yeah where fine" , while there were several buildings on fire hahahaha
I said. You have all Dlcs. And this added alot of solutions over the years.
Industries is helpfull To Controll the Traffic.
But there is still despawning.
I think the lake area would be a great spot for a university! (As well as other things!)
GrizzlyBeer hotels seems comical enough for a relaxing vacation
Fundamental: when placing services, place them where the circle of influence covers the most population. don't place them on outter ring roads (or near the beach).
You mean "Hugoslavteaa" ? :D :P
Or perhaps a one or a two in the office or shopping bars, but I don't want to ruin that block by replacing residential..
what kind of magic editing is happening at 11:30? I loved it
Double Tea Inns & Suites (or Sweets) :)
Casual this is fine meme in the intro panning shots LOL
Hotel chain 'TEA'vel Inn (travel Inn)
Also, wood industry looks like its good on the other side of the highway.
i am so very glad that the ground water level does not get depleted in cities skylines as it does in simcity 2013 . .
Congrats on getting the move sorted. Often a truly monumental task.
Thankyou 👍 😁
how about a nature park called teapond-gardens
How about "Tea Cozy Suites" for the hotel chain?
The wooded area beyond the highway is ideal for forestry industries, providing the needed jobs
