      If it was free where would the money come from to pay the hospital staff, doctors, all the supplies, etc.?

      ​@@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 It's called a fair and equitable tax system. In Australia we pay a 2% Medicare levy in our income tax. Low wage earners are exempt, the highest wage earners pay slightly more. I recently suffered a badly broken ankle and over a four month period had a full week in hospital, multiple x-rays, 3 x CT scans, 3 x ultra sound scans, pain killers, multiple appointments with orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and a haematologist. It was all free under our government funded health system, Actually I lie ... I paid $35 for a set of crutches.
