- It's Finally Here! So many of you have been asking me to analyse Silver's character for a long time now, and that time has finally arrived. Silver is a character who I have grown to appreciate so much in Sonic 06 and to see what's happened to him and how he is being misrepresented and mishandled sucks. But, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. In the video, I break down Silvers character and what made him so good, but also how he was ruined. I hope you all enjoy!

I've honestly ever known Silver because of the spin-off games, and since I was born in the mid 2000's, I wasn't able to buy older Sonic games and experience them since they don't sell the games anymore, but it's nice to know there's more to Silver than meets the eye.
Personally, i have no problem with him, he’s interesting in his own way.

What make me like Silver is that he has a strong sense of justice, but he is very naive and is prone to manipulation. To see him disrespected in Sonic Forces really makes me upset and sad.

Why is silver even in forces?
There's a tiny detail in Generations that I really like.
The first time you fight Silver, he's fighting you because he's not sure of what's going on, and doesn't know whether Sonic is an imposter or not. During the intro cinematic of the fight, both he and Sonic are frowning, taking it seriously.
However, if you replay the boss, before you enter the fight, Silver says "this should be fun!", and the two are instead smiling in the boss intro. Now that they know they're on the same side, they're treating the fight like a simple sparring match.
I absolutely love the touch of seriousness in the boss fights, that is where the writers succeed in making a few serious touches so the story is not as bland as colors
I didn't know about that. I thought they were fighting because that was the pre-Sonic's-not-the-Iblis-Trigger discovery version of Silver
Though not related to Generations, a detail I like about Silver in 06 is that when he’s using his psychic powers, the rings on his wrists and boots ‘open’ up to let him channel his psychic energy. It’s the little things I love

Easy reason for Silver to time travel back: Just have him have SUCH a good future that he does it just for his own enjoyment. Not for a purpose any grander than "Time Travel Fun".
Then you can make reasons for him to *stay* instead of for him to go back at all.
This is a good idea. You can also make it to where Silver wants to go back so he can help the people in that time so that they can have a good future. Either way there are ways it can work.
Yup, they've already reused the "doomed" future plotline four times already in the games (more if you include the comics), just give Silver a permanent good future already.

Silver is quite possibly my favorite character. The hate he gets makes about as much sense as his whole being a realist comment in Forces.

Am I the only one who somewhat likes this line? Yes, it's out of character in hindsight, but the way I see it, he says it because he knows that being optimistic won't "bring Sonic back from the dead", which shows his maturity

Makes me wonder how 06's story could've gone down if Silver knew who Sonic was and looked up to him before Mephilies manipulated him into believing Sonic was the Iblis Trigger.
That would've given Silver's decision to try and kill Sonic more weight, as he would have genuinely respected Sonic and seen him as a hero, and might even be in disbelief that Sonic was responsible for the future going bad, but ultimately would be desperate enough to fight his former hero in the hope that it fixed the future.

I imagine him, despite being naive, knowing who Sonic is and thus not trusting Mephilies, BUT accepting his offer to leap into the past anyway so he can inform Sonic about all the stuff going on in the future and help him destroy the Iblis trigger
or ultimately, having his doubts about whether Sonic is truly a hero or not, fighting him once and asking others about him, and then realizing Mephilies lied to him
I'll be honest, I do love IDW Silver, especially with how he was pretty much the MVP during the conclusion of the Metal Virus saga, and I know some don't like the lovable dork angle, but I find it weirdly endearing.
That and I found the Annual story of him doing a gardening project with Blaze due to being unable to in the future was cute. Plus they snuck the infamous quote in it which was funny.
IDW Silver isn't bad at all, and it works within the Comics universe. I just think that, when compared to 06's Silver, it is a step down. But, at least they were consistent with Silver's character in the comics. (and that short story in the annual was pretty nice).

Every character in the Colors era in a nutshell
Silver is like THE one character that I like the most (then sonic and shadow). I really wish he gets a push, he really deserve it
He was so clearly setup to part of the main trio and become a main character and now look at him. He's just become another side character that is not true to the original character whatsoever.

@@thepjshow I think the major reason Silver is so polarizing was in your comment, he (inadvertently) negatively affects pre-established characters:
*Many Sonic fans will always prefer the OG main trio (Sonic, Tails and Knux) myself included, so having two of the members getting replaced by two hedgehogs (one of which already has a team and while the other had a less than stella introduction to Sonic franchise) just feels "off" plus it only feeds that stupid notion that "oNLy MaLe HeDgEhoGs cAN gO sUpEr".
*Silver in his debut game had Blaze relegated into becoming a side character while retroactively retconning her backstory (plus ship fuel) and then "killed" her off at the end of Silver's campaign, yup what a great way of treating Blaze fans.
Imo the most organic/non-harmful friendship Silver has had with a pre-existing character is Espio (Rivals 2 and IDW), since it mutually benefits them. Silver gets advice from someone older and more reserved than him while Espio can freely express himself as a character outside the Chaotix.
I do agree Silver was robbed of the MC role in future mainline games thanks to the aftermath of 06 and Sega have little idea how to utilize him outside being the "loveable dork" Sonic cheerleader/friend.
@@thepjshow well in sonic 06 he has a good role actually, he reminds me of future trunks but his original purpose was to take down sonic. But then he starts to help sonic and all because he realise that he’s the good one and not mephiles. Thought in forces… he just got a little screen time and while facing infinite, he got squashed like a bug… it’s really pissed me off first and it made me sad. Though I’m working on a fighting sonic game project so the other characters can have their storyline and I’m gonna try to find a good one for him !

@@Summorial2 06 is still canon (the Sonic Ecyclo-Speed-Ia proves this) it's just the events never took place in the current timeline due to "timey wimey" stuff. Funny enough in the japanese versions of some games the characters still remember 06 happening, E.g; in TSR Sonic actually remembers "dying" in 06 lol!

I think the scene with Amy highlights one of the issues she has post Adventure.
She’s obsessed with Sonic to the point of siding with him even if he destroys the world, which was a problem that stated in Heroes as well.
Funny enough a similar scene happens with Rogue and Shadow in the same game, but the context works better there, since the world is turning on Shadow despite his best efforts to help them due to being afraid of his power, which is why she supports him by saying that even if he believes the world has turned on him, she would always be there for him.

No reason for bad Future? there you go: Unleashed: Dark gaia destroyed the world. Generations: Time slowly being no more. Lost World: no Life energy. Forces: Eggman still ruling the world to scale of crazy. (now if Sega wants Silver to another game they should think if he fits.)
Yet another similarity between Knuckles and Silver, the same plotline gets incessantly reused in order to hamfist them into Sonic plots.
Knuckles: Gets tricked/forgets his role as guardian.
Silver: Bad future.
Why not just trap silver in our timeline due to a simple paradox? Silver changed history and thus this version of Silver will never exist in the new timeline, so he can only exist in our time.
@@vullord666 fixing future wouldn't mean he won't exist. If he was born in Terrible future, nothing stops him from being in better futures. Also (what Sega succeeded at) that would ruin Silver's reason to be in this series. Knux can have excuse of carrying Master Emerald in small form, but Silver's reason to be in present is to fix the future.
ive been thinking, can't he just stay in the past? im sure he has more friends in there than in the future and i think it'd be good for him to stay with his friends and help them while knowing his future is already fixed. or maybe they could just make something up like this is where he belonged the whole time. like maybe he was born here but got sent to the future as a baby or something and that messed up the timeline. idk i just think its a more simple excuse to have him here instead of sending him back and forth in time
I think that if Silver stayed in the present instead of the 06 ending getting retconned, there might've been an interesting story to tell. One of which could be how he could try to be his own hero instead of someone like Shadow or Sonic, which is actually talked about in a Silver analysis i watched a while ago

Silver is one of the greatest characters in Sonic history. His hopeful and optimistic personality is just to wholesome to see. He's a lot like Trunks who wants to save the future from monsters. And that is VERY OK!

Oh the Irony. When Sonic 06 came out, people hated the game as well as anything in a Sonic game that relates to 06, humans, friends, a dark story. Now sonic is barely allowed to have those things, the fans who praised the game for it's ambition come up, and point the good parts of that.
I just miss that ambition that Sonic Team used to have. That drive to want to make Sonic into something huge and not just another platformer on the market. Hopefully, Sonic Frontiers can redeem Sonic Team and show everyone that they still have passion for the franchise.

@@markharbath31X9 Let's not get _too_ optimistic about that. There are plenty of storylines from both Archie and IDW where Flynn might've had a good idea but SEGA fucked him over. Those restrictions aren't going to go away just because he's writing in-house at SEGA instead of at a third party. If anything, they'll get tighter.
The rules that made IDW Shadow a thing are still things that will need to be worried about.
@@ToaArcan 1 I know but he is no longer restricted because those mandates were only added to the comics (because of Ken penders you know who) but not to the main series, so Flynn has creative writing here to make a great story in the game.

Silver is my favourite character, I love his story in 06 and I appreciate IDW for doing more with him, and Blaze. He was definitely done dirty in Forces in my opinion.

I actually like Silvers characterization in TSR. Almost every time he's gone back in time, it's usually to save his future. So I think with him going back just for fun. We get to see this more dorky side of him. A side of him that's just relaxed and wants to have fun. A side of him that reminds us. He's still a teenager. Also I think he plays up his naivety a bit to mess with Sonic.

My favorite characters in this franchise are the three hedgehogs, but Silver is slightly above the other two. And I really wished he didn't have to be treated like that after Sonic06. I hope that one day he'll have his own game and the love he deserves.

Silver's portrayal in the comics (mostly Archie) seems like an external thing. I saw it getting a lot of praise from people who found him "bad" in 06, as they liked that the comics supposedly "fixed" Silver by turning him into a total moron.
It certainly didn't help that Archie were barred from using Mephiles and Iblis, so Silver's ruined future was instead of the product of a mysterious betrayal among the Freedom Fighters. Then, after doing the "I'm gonna fix the future by murdering this guy!" thing on three different characters, one of which implied that Silver doesn't understand the concept of _nicknames,_ it got revealed that the traitor wasn't a traitor at all, it was Sally being mind-controlled. Also Silver was barely in that story even though it was supposedly what his entire arc had been leading up to. _Also_ the idea that Mecha Sally could destroy the world looked really silly when the only protagonist she ever defeated was a depowered Bunnie. *Also* it never actually ended because Ian Flynn decided to jam a completely pointless filler arc about Knuckles into the middle of the arc just to drag its already-bloated carcass out to 25 issues, and by the time it was done, the Ken Penders lawsuit had set the entire comic on fire and rendered a true conclusion impossible. And then it wasn't even remotely concluded in the reboot, not only was Silver gone, Sally was back to normal (and in fact, hadn't been roboticized at all in the new timeline), but the only plot thread left over from the original timeline that got continued in the reboot was... _the Tails Doll._
Yeah, any semblance of a satisfactory conclusion to this two-year story arc that was also the climax of a plot thread that had been Silver's _entire identity_ in the Archie book was tossed aside... for a creepypasta meme.
From then on, Silver just kinda... existed, like he did in the games during the 2010s. He got a second Sonic Universe arc that made his future generically dystopian, and seemed to be going somewhere in regards to that before the plot got interrupted by a literal Time Eater knockoff called the Second Devourer that went nowhere, but that was about it. At least his first SU arc was okay.
Also, on a darker note, the first SU arc was set in a "possible future" that was meant to be a divergence from the 25 Years Later timeline, but due to the death of Knuckles' shitty dad in the present-day, it became the only "possible future" timeline that could still happen. Oops.
Honestly, if I have to give his inclusion in Forces any credit, I think Silver vs Infinite is a great cutscene and easily the best in the game (not much of an accomplishment but hear me out).
It starts out with Silver and Infinite duking it out, showing us that even after Sonic's disappearance, there still remain some powerhouses in the Resistance capable of going toe-to-toe with the big bad. The dialogue here is also surprisingly memorable, with Infinite delivering a delicious anime one-liner, Silver refusing to believe his lies (a nice follow-up to his arc of losing his naivete in 06), followed by the best line in the game, "Seeing is believing." It not only builds off of the previous lines, but also perfectly encapsulates Infinite's powers and how he intimidates those around him.
Infinite and Silver then quickly tussle before Silver is ultimately knocked to the ground, proving that at the end of the day Infinite is still the one who beat Sonic, and Silver simply couldn't stack up. Sonic then swoops in and tries to lighten the mood with some admittedly decent banter, before Infinite activates the Phantom Ruby and tiggers one of the best boss fights in the game. This cutscene feels like it has genuine scale; that this is just one skirmish in a massive war, and how the Resistance is barely scraping by with it's most powerful fighters being trashed by Infinite.
I keep seeing these glimmers of greatness in this game, from this cutscene, to the scrapped script, to some of the concept art, to Null Space, and even to the somewhat eerie final battle. It feels like this game was supposed to be so much more, but was...limited, somehow. But I suppose that's the norm for this franchise.
The only thing that pretty upset me is that they dint utilized his powers that much and there just...head butting each other, but other than that i agree its a cool cutscene 👍
I don’t think their has been a silver analysis that has gone into this much depth. While sonic is my favourite character, silver use to be my number one as a kid so it’s glad to see that you showed what made him truly great.

I hate the retcon of 06 because it took away Silvers character arc as well as Shadow's, and to us the player we remember it. So its not retconed to us! Its so confusing and I hate it, they shouldn't have done that at the end of 06.
I haven't played 06 in a while but a reason I can think of for Silver staying is because he saved the future and Blaze was his only friend. So he stays knowing the future is saved and that he has friends now. He helps out the problems there so he can stay the optimistic hero who helps out. In Forces even if he had accepted that Sonic was dead, he still would have said that they can beat Infinite and Eggman. Why do the writers have to consistently mess up my favorite characters??

I just wanna say: YES YES & YES!!!! This video touches on all the points regarding silver as a character that I’ve been saying forever. Silver is my favorite character in the entire franchise and that is mainly because of Sonic 06. I stand by 06 because I see both the good and bad that came from it while other just wanna see the bad side of it. I find the game to be an A tier game for me but besides that… I have not been a fan of what they did with silver’s character after 06. Playing through the 2 Rivals games, he was … okay, but after that… just no. Forces and Team Sonic Racing didn’t help at all. IDW Silver is way to bubbly for me and doesn’t really match what he used to be. The only good thing about Silver during this era was the Japanese dialogue from Team Sonic Racing. He was in character, just like in 06. I highly recommend watching the dialogue for meta era games in the Japanese cutscenes because everyone is in character, with very very small out of character moments, kinda. It's been quite a few years since I've last seen any cutscenes from 06 Silver's story. I never realized how meaningful and beautiful Silver's story was.
God damn, 06 desperately needs a remake... Keeping Shadow's and Silver's stories intact and improving them where possible, and rewriting Sonic's story.
As it stands, Ian Flynn seems to actually understand the characters very well. Each character he’s wrote a story on so far, at least in the issues I’ve read (just finished the Metal Virus arc and partly got through Starlines story) are amazingly written. I mean I cannot believe how well he’s wrote Tangle and Whisper despite them being completely new characters. But since it’s the topic, his take on Silver seems to tie back to everything you just spoke about to a major degree.
Like your comment on him having social awkwardness shows greatly upon him meeting Whisper. Like everybody seemed to immediately grasp the concept that Whisper wasn’t much of a talker if there was no fighting involved. Everybody knew to give her space except for Tangle and, you guessed it, Silver. Sticking to just Silver, when he finally first met her with Sonic, Sonic basically told him right off the bat to just chill out and stop trying to force his friendship on her and it took him a while, but he began to understand that he needed to give her space from time to time.
Honestly, I think a lot of what Sonic and the characters went through in the 06 and 2010, can be tied back to that dude Ken Penders. Because of the fact that IDW wasn’t around, Sega was trying to base a lot of character traits from the Archie comics to which we all know how Ken butchered a LOT of the Sonic Universe. But now he’s not around and making his own, human, hybrid animal character, uncanny valley, creatures. And it looks like Ian Flynn is trying to rectify a lot of that. Here’s to hoping the 20s is a better decade for every character in the Sonic series.
We need more people like Ian, atleast a writer new to the series should watch ALL cutscenes from every game to understand the characters, that's mandatory or should be and Ken Pontac failed at that.

Hell he even seems to have taken traits from Shadow the Hedgehog but exclusively for Shadow which... I have a love hate thing about with Shadows personality. At least during the virus arc. I still cannot believe how reckless Shadow was and I'm not even a real big fan of his.
Silver is easily my favorite, he is just so fleshed out as a character, and his relationship/ friendship with blaze is top notch stuff. Its no use trying to find a better character.

Many Sonic characters deserve they own games; Silver, Knuckles, Blaze, etc but until Sega stops being afraid of sOnIcS LaMe FrIeNds in the 3D games, it might not even happen in our lifetime plus some folks love to use Shadow 05 as ammunition against other characters getting they own spin-offs (even tho I enjoyed parts of Shadow's game).

Multiple playable characters can be executed very well in the 3d games.
With the kick that Shadow does, if you work under the assumption that his shoes are made of metal or at least part of them, that kick would hurt a whole lot more.
Actually, in the IDW comics, Silver traveled from the future at the start of the Metal Virus arc because he saw a world covered in metal. Meanwhile, Eggman and Starline already started the path to that doomed future with the first Zombots.
I've always wanted a sort of post-credits scene at the end of 06, after the last cutscene, showing Silver standing on the same cliff as at the end of his story.
Looking content as if know that the future is safe, standing next to Blaze. That could've tied up the story pretty nicely.

Silver is definitely in my top 3 favorite sonic characters. I love his design and character, and basically everything about him lol. It’s a shame a lot of people don’t care about him just because he came from 06. I hope SEGA and everyone else can give him a second chance. I really feel like his character is underutilized and I really hope SEGA can give him another opportunity to shine (then again I could say that about all the characters recently). i never really understood why people have such a hard time with the silver boss in 06 its actually really easy you just have to not get to close to him and attack after he says" how about this" while he's holding objects before he throws it after i beat the boss for the first time i thought to myself" this is the boss fight everyone freaks out over".
anyway i love silver too his story in 06 is really interesting and i love his design he definitely in a high place in my top ten favorite sonic characters.

In my case I think it was because the camera never focused on him compared to the other bosses(along with him being small) so I never put two and two together that when he says that that's the window to hit him since I never saw it like when the opposite happens when fighting Shadow or Sonic as Silver.
In terms of Silver I feel like what Sega should do is try to make a story where when he is spending time at the future and when he meets Eggman Nega who finds a way to get insane power and manages to destroy everything in his world and forces him to go to the past to ask for his friends help. Whilst feeling almost hopeless he feels motivated by Sonic and his friends to face Eggman Nega.
Eggman Nega could even resurrect previous villians like Dark Gaia and Black Doom to destroy the world.
This could have normal Eggman also want to work with Eggman Nega to defeat the heroes until he realizes that Eggman Nega has completely lost his mind which would lead to Eggman to question his humanity.
This could work. Though sadly I don't think Eggman would want to work with Dr.Nega after what he did to him in the rivals games. By that point he should be very aware that Dr.Nega isn't to be trusted.

I used to hate Silver but I grew to love him and honestly he deserves so much better
I'd like to point out Silver's theme (Dreams of an Absolution) also emphasizes optimism that's his thing tho optimism even in the most hopeless of situations
The idea of Silver going to the past to hang out with his friends would be such a simple decision. Why is he around when nothing disastrous is happening? He's just there to vibe if he's around when something catastrophic is happening simply pick from A or B or C
A) He went to hang out with his friends but Team Sonic has as much luck as a bull in a mirror shop. *Wholesome and funny*
B) He saw the disater in a history book or something and went to help his friends with it. *Simple and straight to the point*
C) A threat from his future gets into the past and started causing problems and he feels it's his responsibility to take care of it. *The least likely to happen but it's an idea*

Also, sidenote, I actually really like Sonic 06, as well. I never really encountered many glitches that broke the game when playing it, and I actually enjoy the story. All three hedgehog's stories are complete enough, and feed into the main narrative in some way.

@@LanaTheSockPuppeteer I mean, she has, and she hasn't. The fact that the games never properly explained "is she a princess from another dimension, or is she from the future? What was up with that?" makes her character somewhat hard to categorize.
If you just play Sonic games without thinking about it, you'll either never get an answer or default to the Sonic Rush canon because of character bios.
Whenever she DOES appear, be it in games or the comics, they always try to pair her up with Silver, even though 06 being erased and ignored means they should have no connection.
And, like Knuckles with the Master Emerald and Silver with his ruined future, Blaze needs a reason to get involved because she takes her Sol Emerald duties seriously, which makes stuff like her appearance in Sonic Generations hard to swallow. ...Actually, it makes it worse, because Sonic Rush established that the Chaos and Sol Emeralds being in the same world can have disastrous consequences. It's one of those things you need to ignore if you want to include Blaze, but it hurts her character if you don't use them.
Also, the fact that she doesn't try to help fight in Generations and just cheerleads, doesn't appear in Forces at all, and only appears in the IDW comics POST-Forces... Her character is consistent, but also messy. Just less messy than Silver or Knuckles or Metal Sonic.
Possible reasoning for the slight behavior change: this isn't the same silver that we know, and could originate from another timeline.

Silver is my definitive favorite character in all of the sonic franchise and I really wish he got more spotlight to focus on his character. Honestly he doesn't need to be from the future, they could've use the fact 06 erased itself from continuity to introduce a new version of him that retained his character arc and then expanded on it. Also I absolutely love his idw version being a naive kid that idolized all these heroes from the past and is just excited to meet them while still having his serious moments and never forgetting why he is here.
I feel that when it comes to Silver, the fact that his futures fucked doesn't really have to be the only reason why he comes to the past. unlike Knuckles, Silver isn't the guardian of really anything, Blaze is in her own dimension, and he has that good future. so maybe just saying that he wanted to hang out or help his friends could be enough to justify him being there. I feel that could appeal to his kind hearted nature and his optimism could give his friends a moral boost when needed. this would probably be easier that coming up with a reason which could mitigate the feeling that's he's just being dragged along with just a lame excuse as to why he's even there. of course I mean this in the games, the comics did a pretty good job explaining why he was there.
Really great character analysis, I didn't knew he appeared in Colors DS, the inclusion of him by going to the past to visit an amusement park I gonna be honest, doesn't feel entirely bad, like "I went to the grocery shop for candy and accidentally ended up saving the world", it sounds goofy, but it could be a lot of fun if well executed. Also don't feel bad for liking 06, a lot of people had been digging into that game recently saying "the game wasn't actually that bad, I was too ambitious at the time and on top of that SEGA screw it up", which I think is something everyone could agree on

Silver was always may favorite character in the franchise. He has so much potential but it's been wasted for a very long time. I do appreciate that he has been acknowledged way better than before but he still needs to be fleshin out a little bit

As for Forces, I do agree he could have had a much bigger role and SHOULD have. In fact, a part of me wonders if Sonic getting captured could have been the kick-off of an apocalyptic world that would have been a REASON for Silver to come back to the past. That never really got explored, though. Like, I get that the focus was supposed to be on the custom character (And don't get me wrong, it's a reason I actually kind of LIKE Forces), but there are other characters there too, right? Explore them! Flesh them out! Show how they do or do not bond with the custom characters! Maybe even give us response choices in certain situations to build or deteriorate relationships with these characters!

I didn't even know Silver existed until playing 06. What stuck with me was Silvers whole story in 06. Silver has the potential to be just as diversly well written like Sonic or Shadow but like you said people just don't know what to do with him.
It's like Ben Reily/Scarlet Spider. Ben Reily was a very interesting character that brought a lot to the Spider-Man lore for years, but Marvel kept thrashing his character making him constantly switch lives with Peter Parker as Spider-Man or making him become a villain instead of continuing to keep him as a hero with his own identity simply because they don't know how to use Ben.
It's tragic that this happens to so many awesome characters in franchises that get so much hate as time goes on simply due to being poorly written. As a Silver The Hedgehog fan this was really good, and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for your hard work on this and your channel. Keep up the fantastic work.
Silver was my favorite character around the time Sonic 06 came out. The idea of a character from the future with psychic powers seemed awesome. The parallels to Future Trunks definitely also helped. Unfortunately, he's also the epitome of the "too many characters" problem that plagued the franchise at the time. Barring something else happening to the future, any storyline featuring him would probably just retread 06. He's definitely still a cool character, but one without a whole lot to do. Shadow may have had the best written storyline in that game, but Silver was always my favorite. I loved the dynamic between him and Blaze!

You know coming back to this video a year later really puts in perspective of my view on Sonic 06 i love the game even though i know it's bad. It'll always have a special place in my heart
I was relatively young when I first played 06 and it was even one of my first Sonic games, the first being distinctly Colors for the DS, so that may be why I'm biased for Silver and 06 as a whole, but I LOVE Silver, easily my favorite character and the one I connect to the most, you actually putting what I felt into words makes me like the character and game even more.
I also firmly believe that if so much energy, time, and money didn't go into those god tier animations at the beginning of each of our hero's stories, the graphics of the game would have massively improved, as for the story... Yeah, nothing could have fixed sonic and shadow's stories.
14:25, here's an idea: In the end of Sonic 06 (I haven't seen the ending, so I'm making my own), have Silver go back to the future along with Team Dark (as they were stuck in the future) and have them take Blaze's position and I think Blaze leaving because her dimension was in trouble makes much more sense than her dying.
Silver was great in 06 and even Forces, I will always love the scene where He stands up to Infinite
The problem is Sega learning the wrong lesson once again, Sega makes everything about Sonic and the other characters just sit around, doing nothing, I will always hate how Sonic jumped in and fought infinite rather than Silver, And I hope that someday we get a silver game

The most aggravating thing I realized is during the Rival Fight in Gens he's so powerful but they're like "Nah screw that, let's have Sonic help a weaker Silver in Forces", the 2010s was bull making characters appear strong, not acknowledge that and make things up.

I Currently use Adobe Premiere Pro, but I used to use Lightworks. Lightworks is good for beginners, but the free version only lets you export a video in 720p (at 60fps). Premiere pro takes a little longer to learn, but when you get used to it, it really does feel smoother.
