New York City Meteor Caught on Camera - July 24, 2019 - Fire in the Sky! NYC Area Fireball

On the night of July 24, 2019, shortly after 11PM, New York City, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and likely the entire Tri-State area witnessed a particularly brilliant bright blue fireball that was the brightest object in the night sky for a short time. The meteor appeared in the east, likely placing it somewhere over the Atlantic ocean. Although this video hardly does it justice the meteor appeared to explode at the end in a bright white flash.

Apparently this meteor is likely from the alpha Capricornids
meteor shower which occurs between July 3rd and August 15th. While it is not know for producing many meteors per hour like more popular showers it is known for particularly bright fireballs when they do occur.
that was no meteor, that was what was left of a rocket from Caroga's space program

I saw this too! It was incredible! I was just walking back to my tent to sleep (I was camping) and this beautiful meteor just shoots across the sky! It was awesome

I remember back in 1966 when i was 10 years old sitting at the kitchen table doing my home work facing the window i saw a very bright orange ball that lit up the night sky it had a tail i called my parents to the window they saw it too it was a huge meteor it went toward the George Washington Bridge and dissapeared behind it, i never seen anything like it before, its the same one they talk about in history now when they mention a 1966 meteor flying over NYC .
Judging by the color of burn it was a Cobalt meteor, Bird please paste the GPS coordinates, I'm low on cobalt

Dude I totally saw this while doing some night photography at a lighthouse on Cape Cod! Lit the whole beach green and had no idea it was that far south of us. I found your video while checking to see if anyone had caught it. I am doing a video about the location I was at and want to include a story about the meteor. Can I use this (with credit of course?) Also, I watch Nerdrotic all the time and only realized that you were the famous BirdOPrey5 (aka Picard Death Counter) after I found this video. haha.

There are newspaper articles and other videos, google search for "east coast meteor july 24 2019" (without quotes) and you'll get plenty of evidence.
