god, this brings back some memories i remember first playing this game in spring of '21, while coronavirus was still busy fuckin' ruining everything, and i was in an unsurprising state of 'not good' at this point, i had sorta drifted apart with the only friends i had, pissed off my parents, and best of all discovered a video game series that i'd have to spend 20 minutes explaining to anybody i wanted to talk about it to at some point, i clicked on this song while listening to the ost since i didn't hear it first while ingame, it was at first just a sort of melancholic song in a sea of tracks of the same type in a pretty melancholy game and then when 2:08 struck, i at first was offput by how it sort of sounded off-key, but it grew on me pretty quickly and raised this song to not only one of my favorites in the entire game, but also as something that helped me get through a fuckin swamp of shit so WHY DID THEY LIMIT THIS JUST TO THE FUCKIN JUKEBOX!?
we’re honestly lucky it even got in the game at all. most of the jukebox songs were leftovers from earlier development features that either got replaced by other songs or removed entirely (_White_ was replaced by Snowman for Snowcap Mountain). it’s thought that this was no exception, and likely used to be the original ending cutscene’s theme. I’m assuming the composer either left these tracks in as an easter egg, or because it was particularly hard to depart from them.
It was only a few months around that time that I had played this game as well! Still the most impactful and real world connecting story any game has ever portrayed.
What a coincidence man, I played it around the same time. I started playing it in spring of '21 as well and finished it around summer since I had a bit of stuff going on in my life. Mother 3 is such great game.
It's all over. I'm crushed again. Darkness surrounds. All overhead. I say it's okay, but... it's all a lie. Enemy's won. All I have been. Crumbled to dust. Crying instead. I'm feeling so lost, alone. Floating away. Distant again. Darkness surrounds. Loosing my head. And I feel like, I'm going to die! There goes the sun. I will not win. Crumbled to dust. Trouble ahead. I feel so lost, and I'm... Come on, we all have made mistakes! And yet I know, you are too hard to break! Just get back up, no matter what it takes! And that feeling, it will soon dissolve! Oh I feel it, coming quick! This is it, that sweet kick, you will show them all, your sheer Resolve!
This song is so sad. This game is sad. Also, this song would've fit SO WELL WITH THE ENDING It just gives off those vibes And then 2:08 hits Then you realize This is one of the best mother 3 songs
It was *possibly* originally used at the ending instead of phantasmorgic, also every other song in the jukebox box went unused. I recommend watching the video about its origins!

If this wasn't jukebox limited it'd cause players to get stuck due to them only listening instead of playing the game
Hope you're doing well now

it conveys such a deep sense of grief

🥲 how far we've come
@@crazycowcraft350 i'll wait for the next comment in 2026
I cannot describe with words what I felt when I heard the part at 2:08 for the first time, this part is just incredible and really caught me off guard
Tazmilly motif hits hard
Hits like a fuckin truck, doesn't it
This melody is mostly taken from Monkey's Delivery Service btw
I've never heard this track until now, this is fucking amazing
This song is so sad. This game is sad.
Also, this song would've fit SO WELL WITH THE ENDING
It just gives off those vibes
And then 2:08 hits
Then you realize
This is one of the best mother 3 songs
this is making me tear up
That Kumatora solo hits hard
I think it's Duster who switched from bass guitar to electric guitar
unsuprisingly, guy has the best recommendation, who'da thought
I find u in nost of these ost's

wow I see you had to remake your channel...
this track is indeed incredible, thank you very much for putting these on youtube yet again 😅
Sounds like it could be a Pink Floyd song
I like this one
I read that the ending was supposed to be darker dirtier and more upsetting but what was it supposed to be?
Sound like a old version of phantasmorgic or confusion

I can’t find this on amazon and it’s really annoying
