The song makes me appreciate the names of people in the lineage of the Messiah our LORD Jesus. Because it makes me picture out in mind the stories of God's faithfulness to those people. Its so amazing. And also, it really speaks that the LORD Jesus Christ really walked on earth. He has a lineage. Fully God, fully Man. Our Immanuel, God with us! Thank you LORD!

I prefer this one, especially when it comes to the over lay towards the end. The solo version is lovely...but its hard to hear the other names. When I first heard it I followed along in Matthew...and I just appreciate the overlay with the spouse in it more.. God bless...lovely music for the LORD
Very good . Quite a modern rig and well incorporated .Korg Kronos and SV-2 . The percusion is a mystery .A very cool unit . A good repesentation of the geneology of Jesus .The song animates it ! You hardly notice over five minutes because it is interesting .
My apologies. I was wrong. 1 chronicles 22:8-10 and 28-5-7 show that Israel's king had to come from Solomon's line as well as David's. The curse of Jeconiah was side-stepped because Joseph "adopted" Jesus, entitling Jesus to legally be in the line of Solomon, but w/o Jeconiah's cursed blood. Jesus was also a direct bloodline descendant of David (and Nathan) through Mary.

The Lord said none of his (Jeconiah's) descendants would ever sit on the throne of David. Therefore, this genealogy would disqualify Jesus from being the Messiah. The genealogy in Luke (Mary's) comes through Nathan (Solomon's brother), bypassing Jeconiah's curse, but still in the line of David.
