I just found your channel and subscribed. I planned to have a Big Year but things got in the way. I make videos in ny garden sometimes but i am feeling inspired by watching yours and others to try a birding blog next year. Im enjoying your videos, thank you.
@@catsfromthedarkside thank you so much for watching! I'm a bit behind on editing, but hoping to catch up a bit next week. Glad you're feeling inspired! Bird vlogging is challenging, but so rewarding and loads of fun. Definitely makes me make more of an effort to get out there 🙂
Hello Branwen, you've certainly added some great species to your Big Year, well done! Soon the sand martins and wheatears will be spring additions before the big influx of summer migrants. I've been hearing the odd chiffchaff singing since January and had one contact calling in my garden at first light today. Is Minsmere on your itinery again for this year? Wherever you decide, I wish you all good birding and safe journeys!
Thank you so much! Indeed we're getting reports of sand martins at one of our local spots 😍 I heard a chiffchaff too the other day, and I'm sure they'll be making an appearance in the March episode. I'm excited for all the summer arrivals! And yes, Minsmere is definitely on the cards. Watch out for the May episode!
@@BranwenVlogs Oh great, sand martins in and your wway already! Yes exciting times! And, Yay to Minsmere! I've not been since November and a lot of it was quite flooded, I'm hoping to get up there soon for the day.
I wouldn’t know what is beyond Kansas if I weren’t for you wonderful videos. Thank you for sharing your experience and your story. Val
Aw, thank you for watching! One day I need to visit the US and learn all about the birds there...
Great vid as per usual, thanks for sharing.
Thank you Shaun!
Your filming has improved so much, it's great to see.
Thank you, I appreciate that!

158 on my year list this year
That's an impressive count already! I'm hoping to jump mine up a bit with a few trips to different corners of the UK over the next few months... 🤞
