I've never been to Slimbridge , so it was lovely to see all the wonderful wildlife . Really wonderful camerawork Branwen. The Avocets with their chicks were so beautiful , the amazing cranes( very envious!) . Love your appreciation of the wild plants as well . I have always loved Sir Peter Scott's art work and it inspired me at a young age to draw and paint wildlife . Thanks for a brilliant video
@@KeefsCattys Thank you so much! It's definitely worth a visit. The collection birds are lovely to see, and there are some magnificent wild spaces all around the reserve. Thanks for watching! 🙏🦆🦉🦢
Thanks for a great video. Lovely photos & videos of the birds. Those 2 Shelducks were looking after c18 young! Must be several clutches!? All the best, John.
@@BMW7series251 thank you for watching! Yes, the shelduck clutches were so huge! I think they may have been sharing parental responsibilities - I've heard that mallards do that as well... Amazing to see!
Hello Branwen, my goodness what an experience! Meeting up with family, staying in such a beautiful house, all the wildlife, evening safari and finally getting to see the spotted redshank and bluethroat! I bet the time flew by so fast with so much to see and do. It is no wonder that you are looking forward to going back. Stunning footage and soothing accompanying music. As always a joy to watch and listen to. Thank you.
@@tonycritcher3419 thank you so much, as always 🤩 It's funny, at the time I felt like I wasn't getting much good footage, but I guess the joy of the three days worked its way into the camera without my noticing!
@@BranwenVlogs You certainly have an eye on what's around and naturally reach for the camera, which I doubt is never far away! I have never seen meadow sweet to appreciate the scent! I must look and try harder to find these gems! Am off to Minsmere, finally, in the morning for four days in Suffolk. I hope it isn't flooded as it was last November. Weather not looking too promising, but hey it may force some birds to take shelter for me to find. Being a gardener, I have been waiting all summer for a decent amount....I think I am about to get it!
What a brilliant video, I've watched them all but this was my favourite so far. The photography is so beautiful ( if you don't mind. which camera are you using for the video? I remember you saying in video 1 or 2 but can't find it). You are captivating and so peaceful/calming to watch and your mum was brilliant and informative once again! It was great to see inside the lodge, I went to the reserve for the first time last year for my birthday and the Bluethroat was in the exact same spot then, lifer for me and I was so pleased. Amazing to see it must like it and returned back there to that spot by the shepherd's hut from very far away again this summer 😂 Also I love your humour coming through in the video and captions ( scruffy blue tit 😅). I saved this one to watch as a treat after cleaning my bird feeders. It didn't disappoint, thank you ❤
@@catsfromthedarkside wow, what a really lovely comment! That's made my day 💜 Thank you so much! Definitely recommend Bewick's Lodge - it's magical. Not cheap, but you can book it by the night, and it sleeps 3 couples.

@@tonycritcher3419 good luck in Suffolk! It's a great time to go, despite the rain possibilities. I've got my fingers crossed for you.
