Maybe if Artorias was parryable he wouldn't be such an iconic boss. Because Gwyn absolutely would if wasn't for the parrys.

Aside, it is theorized that the explosion of Gwyn's linking its the one that "added" the extra design to the armor. If you notice, the kiln is full of ash protrusiond from the blast, it's normal to think some ash also got caught in the helms and joints.
I mean, it is 2 on 1, so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise, considering that fighting while being outnumbered requires at least some degree of intelligence (or being extremely overpowered), which the AI lacks completely (AI stands for "aint intelligent" after all). You could even say it's a 3 on 1, since you can't kill both at the same time, which you should be able to in a "normal" 2 on 1 situation. Either way the AI lacks the necessary skills to deal with such a situation.
That battle between Gwyn and the Four Kings was awesome to watch with the glow of Gwyn contrasting with the darkness of the abyss. A battle against a king of light, and four kings of dark

Important to remember that this is hollowed-Gwyn, who is just short of his flame burning out. He doesn't even use his trademark lightning spear. Still an awesome opponent.
This needs a mod where Gwyn's grab just works as a punch that would deal the same damage as the grab explosion. That would even it out for bosses that cannot be grabbed instead of Gwyn having a dead attack

Honestly, if Nito had used his ground-stab, if seath had used his better crystal attacks, and if the 4 kings had moved around and used their sword at a better range, they'd have won. When you think about it, the default player character is actually the strongest. Even if a player controlled Bosses, they would lose to a player controlling the default character because Bosses don't have i-frames, can't parry, and aren't as mobile.
Nothing funnier than watching some speedrunner video of Gwyn flying across the arena with that huge leaping swing..... only to get parried and knocked on his ass.
He is goddamn strong for a hollowed god, he only lost like two, he even fought the gods of death, fire and the four kings and he still won, I even thought he was gonna lose against the four kings after seeing smough and ornstein did. And crazy thing is he would've even closed a lot of these fights early along with ornstein smough if not for the stupid grabbing skill he has that does not work. And sorry for my mistake with the lava monster ceaseless, it was the environment as always that saved him so it was not going to be a close one. Now if he is this strong, how much strong would he be if he has not given parts of his soul and burned himself even more? He may still be the strongest lore god in all of the souls borne beating elden rings and even Bloodborne whom both have cosmic gods. And think how powerful he would be if Miyazaki added cosmic powers and lore to dark souls.

Gwyn's fire reflecting on Seath's crystals was absolutely beautiful and the finish on the Four Kings was badass. I got a good laugh of Gwyn being punch-drunk and looking for more fights after the Capra demon as well.

I'm still impressed with the mushroom, he's so tanky and althought is a "normal mob" he's also powerfull. I think in close areas he can beat most of the mobs, exept the dragon and maybe manus.
I've seen a few of these, and it seems like Super Smough seems to be a problem for lots of the other bosses. Of course, Gwyn's knights never stand a chance against him. lol
The lighting and deep shadows makes so many of the arenas look like entirely new places! Looks really epic! Also, unfortunate for Gwyn that he had these ill-timed graps against Ornstein and Smough. Feels like he can beat them. Would love to see multiple battles, makes me curious what the win/lose ratio would be.

His hammer blocks all attacks coming from the right, so a lot of the attacks don't hit him. He is the only Boss that has something like that.
