This is the exact balance we need from main characters. People who we know are powerful and can hold their own but aren’t op, and they aren’t weak enough to constantly need saving every second. It really brings out their personalities and relationships the traveler has with the other characters
It just feels more accommodating that the traveler character isn’t some overpowered isekai protagonist. He/she is just as vulnerable as everyone else and all the characters played their parts in the stories.

Apparently traveller's weakness is puppets, Lumine had to be saved twice from both Scara and Raiden. Really loved these scenes. It makes the came so much more interesting when there is a give-and-take to being awesome and needing help from friends and allies.
I think that she was not near death in these situations. The twins are like demigods and are much older than a normal humans. She looks like she is still just naive and careless probably because she knows that taking her down is pretty difficult.
