RantAndRave30 Just returned from a 4,000KM Trip, and yes. The 3M works perfectly, on the sections you can apply it. The sharp angled forward section which is all diagonal shaped is impossible to apply 3M protective film to (or any film for that matter) After about 1,500KM the paint had started to wear through. I ended up buying a roll of duct tape from a garage mid-tour and threw a load of that on to prevent any further wear.
Yes and No. I've semi modified the way the stock LED indicators mount to the Rizoma tail tidy so the overall width is less. Even so they still slightly foul the inside of the panniers. Some slight rubbing but nothing serious. If you want to be 100 percent you would need to use a slimmer profile tail tidy or aftermarket indicators which are smaller.
+xristos tzovaras I only use them to tour. I'm away again soon and have bought an anti slip mat to place between the paintwork and panniers to prevent any further wear. It's the only downside for an otherwise perfect product.
