I would also like to start my cima journey. I'm currently doing third year at uj. Is it possible to not do bcom hons in financial management And still do cima?.
Can I qualify for cima with my bcom accounting degree? Are there any requirements when it comes to the average and marks?
I also wanted to ask whether you wrote the uj postgraduate entry exam for bcom hons in financial management, and if yes, are there any tips you can give?

But just to summarise, you don't need to do honors to do CIMA. Your BCom Accounting degree exempts you from the certificate and operation level so you'd start at the management level. There are no requirements in terms of marks, you just need to complete your qualification. But there are requirements you have to meet if you are going to do honors
Yes I wrote it. My advice is that you just polish up on your third year financial management knowledge and read up on current finance related news such as who is the minister of finance in South Africa and so on

On average, how easy it is to pass the postgraduate diploma in financial management and the CIMA management case study exam?
Hello Lesego. I don't know how to answer this question because I don't know what you'd be comparing the level of difficulty to. It certainly wasn't easy for either. It involves long study hours and hard work
How often are the multiple choice tests written in a year?
They are available on demand so you can book anytime of the year
When you write exams, are you allowed to bring IFRS standards or additional pre-seen material notes?
No you are not allowed. The preseen is available for you to use during the exams. You don't bring your own
You wouldn't even have time to read those doll. 45 minutes goes by so fast
When you say “ relate to real world” you mean physically go to a company and enquire ?
No you can read the Integrated report or current news about the industry
How much time is allocated on the exam let’s say I am writing an operational level?
3 hours =45 min per section* 4 section
The exam is not hand written?
No it's typed

Hello. the objective tests are multiple choice and the case study is a written one
what is a preseen
The case study released before the exam
