Nice video! One thing Paris is def not 4 hours away by train it’s actually around 2 and Amsterdam aswell! Amsterdam to Paris takes 4 hours 😉

Nice video, but Paris is only 1,5h and Amsterdam 2 from Brussels. Also national dishes def to try are stoofvlees (beef stew) with fries and our vol au vent (chicken stew). Waffles are actually more a tourist thing, Belgians don’t eat them that much 😅

Amsterdam is only 2hours from Brussels, Paris is 1.5h on the TGV high speed train. Belgian food is much more than you mentioned and is very reasonable outside the tourist trap restaurants around Grand Place. Carbonnade Flamande, Waterzooi, Boulettes sauce tomate or sauce Liege, vol-au-vent and filet americain are all Belgian classics and very reasonably priced.

Rule one, very important here: DONT (only) go to tourist traps. Brussels have an amazing art and music scene you should check out, there are plenty of parks and a very old forest within the Brussels capital region. Drink a beer and eat fries, but don't go to the few fry shops where all the tourists go and go to any café that's not on the Grand Place and pay significantly less money in a way more authentic setting. Manneke piss is tiny, so don't get disappointment. As allready said, don't stay just in Brussels city because it's the capital, some pretty cities not mentioned in the video worth visiting are Leuven (realy close to Brussels) and Brugge and smaller but cute ones like Dinant and Tournai. Also waffles like they sell for tourists with all the cream and chocolate and all are not realy authentic Belgian food. Belgians eat waffles like that only on like birthday and are usually only eaten with different types of sugar and maybe jam. The secret national breakfast/ snack is koffiekoeken, those are a whole selection of sweet freshly baked cakes you can find in bakeries and aren't that expensive either.
