take it from a Belgian who has lived in Brussels for more than thirty years, your video is so well done that I had the impression of discovering (even though I myself was a tourist guide in Brussels) this is a real tribute to this city that you have so shown in its true light! and to thank you, here is the difference that makes French fries actually Belgian fries because there is a fundamental difference that the French don't know or can't follow. firstly, traditional Belgian fries use a mixture of three different fats and secondly, the fries are double cooked which means that when you order a portion, the fries are already half cooked and rested, they are only re-dipped and cooked to perfection when ordered! 😉
As a fellow vlogger and Belgian! I have to say really nice video! 😀Great job on covering the best sights in Brussels.😉One tip: in my opinion for the best waffles buy them at the yellow vans. 😋
Great content. I was contemplating visiting Belgium first week of Oct. I am going to continue looking into Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, and Brussels. Thank you for your content!
Thank you! You'll love Brussels. And it's so easy to do day trips from here to other places (Bruges, Ghent, etc.) If you haven't watched, I have a video on Bruges: th-cam.com/video/J553wdZWV6o/w-d-xo.html and Antwerp guide is coming out this week as well. Happy travels!
This is not about Brussels, but I must say a big thank you for your tips about Rome. I got home from there yesterday. We visited Doria Pamphilij Gallery upon your suggestion. I was sad that so few people were there. We almost had the place to ourselves. It was absolutely wonderful. Well worth our time. Stay Fabulous!!!
Thank you Mysti! Doria Pamphilij Gallery is still a hidden gem :) It was almost empty when I was there, you saw it in the video. But I am so happy you enjoyed and it was well worth your time!
I’m a Belgian myself, actually living in Brussels since 2016, great video. About the palace of justice which indeed isn’t great from the outside: that’s in fact because it’s in scaffolds for DECADES. We’re a bit ashamed about that for long, don’t know exactly what’s stalling the restorations, but it’s been so long already that even the scaffolds themselves had to be restored themselves in the meanwhile 😂
I am Belgian and knows Brussels as my pocket. And all the places you recommend and advices you give are those I would give myself. Thank you for this excellent video !
Visiting Brussels in a few months with an elderly person bringing a mobility scooter. Is it easy to get around on mobility scooter? Busses, trains, attractions?
@@Gigi-xm2eb honestly, no. Get prepared. Many improvements still need to be done concerning mobility in Belgium. I am myself a mom of a son with a handicap. But Belgians are very kind and always willing to help if needed.
Hi! Loved this video! Really good to see a guide video made by someone who really knows the place. Now I'm sure I'll have the best time in Brussels next month!
I love it ❤ and also the coincidences. When I first saw your fabulous videos I was going to Rome and Florence. This time I’m going to Brussels and your fabulous recommendations are top notch. Thank you Anastasia ♥️♥️♥️
Wonderful travel guide! While I just travelled to Bruges last month, my only stop in Brussels was for a train change. It was not a good experience, not very helpful or kind at the train station, and I vowed to never go again! You have changed my mind! As long as you are well informed on your own about the trains, Brussels looks like a lovely City.
Hi great video how far is the city center from the MIDI train station also are you able to see any of the comic strip painted buildings in the city center where you are in this video?
Really enjoyed this video! I will be in Rotterdam a few days prior to my cruise to Scotland and Iceland. I plan to do a day trip to Brussels. Which things are the best / most important to see on a day trip when you have only 8-10 hours at most? I would love to hear your thoughts. We are going in August so I know things will be busier, so maybe we will need to choose only 4-5 things on our day trip there.
Thank you! You should definitely see the Grand Place (beautiful main square of Brussels), the Queen's galleries with all the chocolate stores (close to the Grand Place), have a beer in the Delirium cafe, eat fries😍 and enjoy the views from "Mont des Arts". They are all located in the historic center so easy to reach by foot and close to the Brussels central (city center train station.)
New to your channel. Not sure if you check all your comments but very fascinating content. What do you enjoy most about traveling? Also what inspired you to travel? Much love and keep up the good work miss.
Thank you Manuel! I do check all my comments :) As you can imagine, it's not easy just to choose one thing I enjoy the most about traveling, but it's probably the newness of the experience and then sharing those moments with my community. I've been traveling since I was little, so exploring new places is a natural part of my life. Welcome to the channel!
@@StayFabulousTL I appreciate the response thank you:) Have you ever visited AZ? You could definitely bring your swimsuits out here especially during Summer since it's extremely hot. Traveling is awesome whenever the opportunity is there so it's nice to learn about different cultures through your videos in places where sadly I'll probably never get to experience in person. I mostly travel to where family is such as Florida, Puerto Rico, and California but my dream destinations would definitely be Italy and Greece which by the way I've seen your videos on so excellent work! Hope you don't mind upcoming questions on future videos. I'm looking forward to more content.
@@feraudyh I think they gave me as a gift some Christmas ago box with a selection of super delicious chocolates from a shop in Lyon; unfortunately I can't remember its name but if I'm not wrong it was a light green box with black writings.
Next time, don't miss the second most visited attraction in Brussels. Mini-Europe is a marvelous attraction featuring all of Europe in a wonderfull park. 350 scale model at the scale 1/25 representing 29 countries. Be welcome next time :)
Skip Brugge as well, unless meeting Americans is your goal. Gent is the nicest city of the Netherlands (I always make this joke in Belgium, they like it), Antwerpen is really nice and the hidden gem is Leuven, which is both lively and modern thanks to thousands of students, and it is more beautiful than Brugge as it is one of the few cities in Belgium that is mostly build in bricks, not sandstone.
This is a really really curated video...but the reality however is very different...full of garbage, pollution, petty crime, most of the streets are very dirty and smelly, there are garbage everywhere, the transport system is so inefficient. The museums are okey but is sad the state of some them... poor maintained roofs literally rain inside! My favourite part is the weather.
Not trying to “sell” anything. Every person has different experiences of the same reality. I love Brussels and find tons of exciting things to see/do there.
been in Brussel twice in last 5 years... i thought they had some kind of war maybe recently? side streets look worse than in east european countries, people throw trash bags on sidewalks, lot of buildings devastated, dirty. i was schocked. compared to germany it is tragic, compared to luxembourg or switzerland it is disaster.

Oh yes, in most places they speak English very well. You won't have any issues.
Extremely useful Thanks ♥️🧇

Bruxelles, Belgium: the hearth of Europe and one of the hearts of European chocolate.
One of the names of Europe should be chocolandia. 😄
Haha! True. So many options
You should try the best chocolate shops in Lyon. I would say that they are finer than Belgian chocolates.

Gotten back
Just skip it. Go to the Atomium, that is seriously cool, and book a hotel in Leuven (nearby) and visit that city instead. Thank me later.
I never found good coffee in Italy

Basically = Chocolates, a small statue , some chips, waffels and alcohol. Thats the tour of Brussels from everyone
Can someone help me please? Does Belgium to enter the country requires 6 or 3 month US passport validation?
Are belgian people friendly?
Did you get there by train?
Plane. It's a short flight
Will you ever visit The Netherlands?
I'd be curious what your thoughts would be...
🌹
Hopefully, this year!
Belgium has three official languages. Dutch is spoken by 60% of the population, French 39%, and German 1%
The best fries you wil never find in place we’re is full whit tourists go out of the center and you find better fries and food
Very true!
Ooh, you didn't visit Bruges..?
Here is a Bruges video :) th-cam.com/video/J553wdZWV6o/w-d-xo.html
Please i need your help
I'm only going there to eat waffles, fries, chocolates, drink beer while enjoying the views. Not a fan of Pierre chocolates .
To each their own. Enjoy!
