@@lukegregg5944 Hi, sorry for the delay! I'm not sure either, but I would say the guide tone voicings indeed (like at 1:08). I don't think he plays any root voicings..
You are the best at what you do on TH-cam Stijn, and the fact that there are no ads or " Buy my New Book" sales pitches really hits home. As a young man I was interested in Philosophy and read Mortimer J. Adler (a Modern Aristotelian) who wrote "Once you start getting paid for what you do, it's no longer Art, it's Work!" Rather Idealistic cuz we all gotta eat and pay rent, but what I got out of it was "don't Sell Out and don't compromise your Artistic Sensibilities for commercial gain." I think you embody that ideal quite well.
