I didn't have time to practise piano because I'm a saxophonist but when I saw this video I told myself that I must never lose out because here's an unselfish "great jazz piano teacher giving out all this for FREE! Thanks.

Fantastic. Right into demo, no ego head saying look at me or asking silly questions like what's happening dude? Solid musicianship. Congrats.

This is wonderful! Great and thorough demonstration exercises of not only the chords but what you can do in between the chords-which to me shows the true hallmark of a consummate professional. Thanks for this and your other ii-v-i videos! New sub and looking forward to more!

Best jazz channel on the internet period. Up there with Adam Neely, Aimee Nolte and JazzSkills but for a pianist, this is hands down the best channel. Thank you for your videos. You're a blessing to anyone who wants to learn Jazz.

Your content is really, really, really, really good! These are the sounds I crave, both harmonically and touch-wise. You make no mention of it, but playing these notes with such a light, clean expressive touch is what makes it really come alive. BRAVO, and THANKS!

Thank you so much! I don't really think about sound and touch, but indeed it's essential to make your comping sound good..!

I became fascinated with shell voicings but I didn't have much time with them because I was studying saxophone and Jazz piano as a minor study but now here comes Stijn to make me a Jazz pianist par excellence...this is amazing stuff guys!!!

This is the best all-in-one comping video I've seen on youtube. Several concepts good for both beginners and advanced, with clear practice instructions, and very good display on how you combine them. Cheers mate ! If I can allow myself some remarks, it would have been nice to also show the other two hands open position (7-3-5-9 for the II) (Edit : well I see you have another video about those!), block chords and some quartal voicings too. Still, I'm a music college student and will definitely use your video for my practice. Thank you !
