- In this video we will work on close or rootless voicings to the beautiful bossa nova "Wave" by A.C. Jobim. Rootless voicings can look quite complicated at first, but the goal is to memorize them so they become second nature in both left and right hand!

I love this tune so much and all of your content is great (video + transcriptions are amazing!!). I am studying this piece and learning your different approaches (melody + rootless LH, comping with different voicings etc.) but I'm wondering how you would approach the last step i.e. a solo piano arrangement. I'm hoping that after I learn all of your different approaches, I can improvise a solo arrangement to some degree, but I was wondering if you had a general approach to this. Basically, how to get the bass + melody + those sweet extensions (b13 etc.) fluently in a solo arrangement.
I actually see that you do include the bass on the third A section of the Melody + rootless LH transcription. So thanks for that 😊
