Chef's Choice Trizor XV EdgeSelect

Just a quick first use and review. We were very impressed with how the Chef'sChoice Trizor XV EdgeSelect Professional Electric Knife Sharpener took our 10 year old knife set from dull and dangerous to better than brand new.

I watched EVERY video on this sharpener here on TH-cam. NONE of them were any good. I just bought this on Amazon and it arrived today. JUST came across YOUR video, jotted down what you had written on YOUR notes and VOILA! I just sharpened 5 different knives using YOUR notes and it worked perfectly. I have NO idea why the manufacturer doesn't just print up YOUR note and throw that in the box as a "Quick User's Guide". .THANKS JEFF ! 1 1

I've had the model for asian knifes for a couple of years, and it works great with my Global knife!

Thanks for the video. I got the similar model but its the 130 so it has a different center stage, according to the maButnual, it has a honing steel in the middle stage. But I've used it to sharpen a few super dull knives and they are like new again.
Your video explained the best way to do the stages..

Will that still work for chipped knives?

Probably. I have this and have sharpened pretty destroyed knives. I guess it depends on how chipped it is, but use stage one until it's uniform without chips, then proceed to stages 2 and 3 like usual.

Sounds terrible as it's being put in each time. Like it's hitting the wheel in the wrong spot.

Just received on from Amazon .... left side worked fine ...right side required one to push thru some kind of obstruction and then sound was very uneven as it seemed it was only being sharpened for just the end part of the pull. Should note that the closer flap on the inside box was torn and once opened, it looked like it had been "repackaged".

@@johnnaylor1706 I am very leary of Amazon as I've been sent opened and used items almost every second order so I'm backed off Amazon alot. Try to buy local so I can check the box before leaving the store. Just sayin.
