That's awesome, I live about 15 minutes from there in Largo. I caught a bullhead catfish and lost a huge bass last year. Good luck and thanks for watching my video
I love to use a float when I tilapia fish. But I prefer to use a hook only. Also, i've never used a circle hook for tilapia, but i'm sure it would work. Thanks for watching and have a great day
Use small pieces of white bread on a small hook. Don't use and weight. I usually take small pieces of bread to chum up the water and get them active. Good luck out there and thanks for watching. Please subscribe and check out my other videos. Thank you
They are vegetarian and corn should work. Send me a picture of that albino if you see it again. Look me up on Facebook at jimmybrownfishing. Thank you for watching
@@jimmybrownfishing there's whole schools of em more than you can count and they are HUGE at least twice the size of the ones you caught they just don't bite
@@jimmybrownfishing I chum the water in the mid day when they seem to come out then I toss my hook out there and they literally look at me and almost mock me lololololol
Guess it depends on the time of the year. I've been before and they would not eat it. I've heard corn was good but have yet to try it. Good luck and be safe! Appreciate you watching my video.
Basically you do not show even 1 way to catch tilapia, no explanation of technique, bait....nothing...it is just a video of you catching tilapia no showing anything
Blew my ear drums out with the sound effects. Please don't thank me for watching! Lol
Watch more, lol
The sound effects gave me a mini heart attack
Thanks for watching! 😂

Can I use Circle hook for Tilapia?
What size of hook would you recommend i tried using a size 20 and it broke
I use a size 4 short shank plain hook.
You could also try a #6 short shank.
Good luck
I live right down the street form there. Used to catch a lot of catfish there years ago

White Bread is the bait of choice for me.
I heard corn kernels is good
What part of Florida are you fishing in and what are you using for bait?
Clearwater Florida area. All I was using was bread and a small hook. I have other tilapia videos if you're interested. Thanks for the question.
Hello, I know it's been two years, but can you give me the location to catch tilapia. I've been looking for a place to catch tilapia for 4 years
Do you live in the Clearwater area?
@@jimmybrownfishing yes
The retention pond that I caught those Tilapia is on Lake Avenue South just south of Lakeview road. Good luck!
where is this located at?
Lake Ave s Clearwater
I tried fishin those from the hillsborough River and they just dont bite for me
I never tried for them there.
Ponds work better for me.
Good luck!!

Are you trying the same technique that I used? And are you throwing some bread in the water and see if they'll eat it before you start fishing
@@jimmybrownfishing I chum the water in the mid day when they seem to come out then I toss my hook out there and they literally look at me and almost mock me lololololol
The only other advice I can give you is to try to stay close to the bank within 10 to 12 feet of shore.
Don't give up!
Are they eating the chum?
I always use bread to try to catch tilapia but they never go for it, instead they just ignore it ???

Worst video. Doesn’t show hooks, bait, or anything for people trying to learn. Won’t waste my time with other videos.
