    Can I use Circle hook for Tilapia?

  • @ksfishing2394
    @ksfishing2394 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    What size of hook would you recommend i tried using a size 20 and it broke

    • @jimmybrownfishing
      @jimmybrownfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use a size 4 short shank plain hook.
      You could also try a #6 short shank.
      Good luck

      That's awesome, I live about 15 minutes from there in Largo.
      I caught a bullhead catfish and lost a huge bass last year.

    Do you use float ? When you fish the Tilapia?

    • @jimmybrownfishing
      @jimmybrownfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I love to use a float when I tilapia fish. But I prefer to use a hook only. Also, i've never used a circle hook for tilapia, but i'm sure it would work. Thanks for watching and have a great day

    What you use as bait to catch these fish ?

    • @jimmybrownfishing
      @jimmybrownfishing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Use small pieces of white bread on a small hook. Don't use and weight.
      I usually take small pieces of bread to chum up the water and get them active.
      Good luck out there and thanks for watching. Please subscribe and check out my other videos.

    • @jimmybrownfishing

      Clearwater Florida area. All I was using was bread and a small hook. I have other tilapia videos if you're interested. Thanks for the question.

      The only other advice I can give you is to try to stay close to the bank within 10 to 12 feet of shore.
      Don't give up!
      Are they eating the chum?

    I always use bread to try to catch tilapia but they never go for it, instead they just ignore it ???

    • @jimmybrownfishing

      Guess it depends on the time of the year. I've been before and they would not eat it.
