Check out "Undergrove" on Kickstarter: bit.ly/3Q3fh23 Rules Update - When moving carbon for absorption, you may also flip over 1 of your 4 active mushroom tokens as well. - A tree grows after the 3rd absorption of carbon
Is this the 4th mushroom themed game to be announced this year? Not complaining, but I just find it funny that BGG has listed Mycelia, Mycelia (a different one), Mycelium and Mycology all coming out 2023 or 2024. Guess you can't have too many shrooms lol
Thanks for the clear overview. Beautiful artwork by Beth Sobel yet again and appears to be another wonderful game co-designed by Elizabeth Hargrave. Looking forward to checking it out!
Thanks! Digging the new options for fungi board gaming (it's all over sci-fi literature, tv and computer games, so seems like board gaming is an obvious outlet)!
Rules question. Do you gain the ongoing effect if you place the root onto it within the turn. Example: did reproduce with bonus effect of playing Candy Cap. I placed the candy cap then placed the seeding with root on the candy cap do I immediately get to place a second root as still within action or would I only get to in future turns.
@@BeforeYouPlay Oh that's a good idea. We spread a huge piece of felt over our big dining table but I'd like to get something a bit nicer and less pilly.
Tiles are much nicer and almost no one plays games long enough to wear them. And if you do, you probably can reasonable buy a 2nd copy. Why should everyone have to get shitty components because you A: can't take good care of your stuff and B: decided this one particular game you'd play enough to actually wear down your copy to the point its no longer usable.

You can never have too many nature-themed games. Thanks for the review :)
Thanks for checking it out! :-)
Nature is definitely a hot theme these days in new games 🌲
@@Keindzjim for sure

Monique is a ‘force of nature’ when it comes to rules explanations. Naveen on the other hand, well he seems like a fun guy.
Haha thank you! We see what you did there 😉
KS just arrived today. Very good teach. Thanks for producing!
Have fun!!
Wingspan is my all time favorite game so far but this looks to be another great addition to the collection.

Beth Sobel is such a fantastic artist, it’s amazing how many titles she can do in this hobby!
This was so helpful!! Thank you! Looking forward to playing this one!
Glad it was helpful!

We've had a good run of about 3-4 notable mushroom themed games come out over the last year! :-)

Monique, you're amazing. Both you and Naveen. Just got this and referenced your video to play it as with many other games. Keep up the good work
Aww thank you so much! Your kind words mean soooo much to us. We’re so glad to help ☺️
I use to collect mushrooms on postage stamps. This game sounds great. How long does it take to become available in the retail market on average?
Artwork reminds me of "Mischwald"
Very cool 🙌
Is that a cloth that you spread on your table or an actual gaming table?
It's both! We place a wool blanket over a board gaming table. The blanket is just for filming, we remove it when we're just playing.

Will you do a review?
Hi there, no we won’t be. We avoid any opinionated language for sponsored videos.
Really nice game! Thanks Monique! 🤗
Thanks for all your content! Have you heard anything or have any thought on Gilded Realms in KS?
Cool game. I still wish that Wingspan got a new expansion soon. Elizabeth, please.
stonemeier already announced xpac 4 - it's on their website!
Great to hear!
But how do you gain resources like P and K?
A lot of mushroom tiles will gain you those types of resources when activated.
Those mushroom tiles will see lots of wear and tear quickly. Why couldn’t they just be cards instead?

How are cards shitty components? I respect strong views but the way you express them leaves a lot to be desired@@Wylie288
