your videos are so well done - really can tell you put a lot into it - from the cameras, to editing, to just how clear and good you both are at explaining things - kudos!
Hey guys, love your videos. Super small suggestion: when you've got a shaped token, like the vessel tokens, consider laying them flat so we can see the shape. The top-down camera blows away the shape when it's standing up. It's a small thing and not a deal-breaker but would contribute a little more clarity to the videos.
Thank you for another wonderful teach. I just received this game and the first thing I did was check to see if you had a video! So glad you did. There is something about your playthroughs and teaches that make games much easier to learn. You are truly great at what you do.
Glad it was helpful! Just be aware that some of the rules may have been altered since we released this video. Hopefully it will help get you through the rulebook even faster!
So glad to see you guys teaching the community how to play this one! Even though I know how to play the game it’s still great to watch you guys teach a game. It’s a skill I wish I had.
Our group liked Age of Sail, but really didn't like the attack mechanic. At least in this one there's benefits for cooperation (as in the links). Looks great!
Well... this is a game that's interesting to me. Endeavor: Age of Sail was a game that I really liked the mechanics of, but I bounced off of the theme harder than I have bounced off of any boardgame I've ever played. I'm not even sure *why* it bothered me so much, it's (sadly) not like colonialism is a rare theme in boardgames and I like plenty of other games with that sort of theme, and most of my favorite video games have that sort of theme. But it seriously hampered my enjoyment of Age of Sail, the only other board game where the theme bothered me as much was Mombasa. This isn't quite a mostly straight retheme like Skymines was for Mombasa, but there are many mechanics that are similar. It does lose a bit of intuitiveness with the retheme, which is always a challenge with this sort of thing. But overall I'm liking what I'm seeing. Thanks for the video!
Yeah we had never played the original versions of Endeavor but when we spoke with Burnt Island Games they were aware of the issues associated with the originals and wanted to innovate on the previous game system. :-)
I also didn’t like the Europe centered colonial themes of the original and generally avoid them. This theme looks great! I love the idea of exploring the oceans and doing scientific and conservation type actions!
Monique sounds a bit under the weather. Stuffy nose perhaps? If she was, I hope she gets well soon. Lots of hot tea and sleep. Love the run through/preview.
Good News / Bad News Good News: Monique is not sick or under the weather. Bad News: we are testing out a new microphone and are still tinkering with it to get the best possible audio for both our voices. :-)
I just received my copy and read the rulebook. I like to read the rules first and then confirm my interpretation by watching a video. I noticed a contradiction @10:06, my rules say for dive "You may spend a dive token in place of activating a Specialist." Prototype rules maybe? Anyway, great job! I think Endeavor is gonna be a good one.
Hi there, likely there are rules changes since this video. Glad you went to the rulebook too and used this video to help get you up to speed faster! Have a blast playing!!

Thank you so much for the kind words Leo, we truly appreciate it!
I agree, Before You Play, and Watch It Played are my go to's for clear and concise instruction, along with Totally Tabled for solo plays.
@@BeforeYouPlay you guys do the best teach of all channels! As soon as I see your name I know I can whip out your video to teach my friends

Haha thanks Jazz!! We edit out all the fumbling lol 😂.
@@BeforeYouPlay you guys do a great job with the editing then. You can’t tell.
Thanks!
Thank you Jennifer!! You didn’t have to do that!!! 🥰😘😘😘
Thanks for the beautiful playthrough. Backed this game and I am so excited to get it...Ahhhhh, the waiting!! So hard.

Sweet, you guys great at doing these!
Thank you!
Great video. I am eagerly awaiting my Kickstarter of Endeavor Deep Sea now 🌊
Nice explanation video! 13:42
Thank you Mark!!
Nice review! I’m curious on the coop mode.
Didn’t get to try out the co-op unfortunately. Looks like there was a certain point value you’re trying to hit per player.
I would love to see a review video on your channel of this game.
Thanks for the video! Have you guys played this Cooperatively? I would love to know your thoughts!
Hi there, we unfortunately didn't have a chance to play the co-op version. Hoping the campaign page has further detail. :-)
@@BeforeYouPlay ok, thank you for the reply!
De Visser : vis like in kiss and then ser like in Sir. Stress is on the VIS part and not on the ser part. It's a Dutch name meaning The Fisher(man). 😀
sure.
That's right!

Are you going to play the game?
Unfortunately not on the channel, we are leaving for Japan in a few days and the schedule is pretty compressed.
@@BeforeYouPlay Wish you a nice trip! Will be waiting for it in the future.
🙂👍
Monique's glasses were really reflective of the studio lights.
