I raised my son fishing the jetties at Cameron,La. We did this sleeping in the ack of the truck. We did this every weekend for 4 months out of the yr. When the bull reds and flounder start coming in. I like your channel . New sub and fishing jetties is my favorite game of all. It does take a lot of tackle. A real good piece of gear for saltwater fishing is a cast net , the biggest you can throw. Over here we catch finger mullet and fish them live on bottom and catch monster bull reds. Fresh bait is the key fishing saltwater for survival. Live bait is top choice if possible. I like an 8' cast net to throw off the bank. I don't recommend throwing a net off the rocks until you know your net and don't let it go to the bottom. Most bait fish aren't on bottom any way. If you start closing your net when it gets half way down and pull it fast you'll have plenty bait. Good luck and yes keep doing the challenges makes great content. ✌️ Please leave a pair for the next guy.

Jetty fishing 101. Bring hooks, bring weights (spark plugs, nuts and bolts, etc), find bait such as muscles, sand flees, sand crabs, etc and do not be afraid to throw a subiki for bait then plunk.

Great video! Next time trying a strip of the skin. Too much meat really screws up the action. When we do this we outfish others on the boat. That little scent and just a bit different action really helps.
Love the bow pickers fish and chips. I've just recently started watching you guys. I'm from Astoria Oregon and now currently in Tacoma WA. One day we gotta meet up and get some bobber's down at some point. And it would be nice to see some videos with kids getting some fish with you guy's.
Fished there a ton. Rockfish can be hard to come by at times. Your rigs are right on par. Sandshrimp on a small hook fishing the oceanside are consistant hits from surfperch or crab. Also saw a guy snag a porpoise about halfway down the jetty about 10 years ago.
I love Addicted Fishing but I have to be honest and this may be biased because my Daughter has the same name, but Jordan ismy favorite he is always entertaining and he would be a blast to go fishing with.
Jetty fishing, like steelhead, is its own art. I always use small jig heads (1/2 oz to 3/4 oz) with 3 to 5 inch grub tails. My favorite colors are salt n pepper, white or electric blue. More fish bite and you lose less gear.
run a texas rig with a 3/4-1.5 oz eggsinker for that depth with a 3/0-5/0 wide gap hook with a creature bait. work the bank up to about a 45 degree angle out as slow as you can and you should smack some lings and or Cabs
You should be able to catch salmon right there, maybe depends when you filmed this but seeming it was only a month ago you should be able to catch salmon, anyways I live very close to your office space and I was just at cape dissapoinment jetty a few days ago, we should do a youtuber-fan video!

Dont jig those soft plastics. Use a lighter head and reel super slow. 1/2-1oz. They usually hit it on the fall and that 3oz head falls wayyy too fast.
