I’m in southern florida and it’s hard to find content to help me started. I have been reading and watching your videos. Keep it up man, you are awesome.
Oh, you can start a fire with a hand drill. Yucca stem, the part that flowers, works really well. It's pretty physical, especially if your technique is bad, but I've done it. Use the edge of your hands more than the palm. I did it at a park demo on fire starting techniques. The Rangers said I was the first person they ever saw do it. They usually just moved people on to the other techniques after letting them try it. They had never got it to work either. Thanks again!
My mans didn’t even bring a cup!! Thats hardcore survival right there big ups to him I learned a lot. Never thought about that vegetable bag condensation before. 🙏🏾
You are a true survivor!! I lived in Florida and I know how intense the sun is and how much it drains you in normal circumstances. Plus the fact that you are sick! I'm so impressed, thanks for sharing.
Awesome video. I hope more people get the true message. practice what with what you do have and develop skills. even if its going without power or water at your home, go through the motions so that when shtf happens, you have muscle memory on what to do. it may never happen but its a good skill to have in the toolbag guys. thanks for the video CFP
Thank you so much! This is my favorite video of yours. I do Like them all, but this one shows some basics of primitive survival which is helpful to most of us utube SHTF dreamers… The sun situation is very serious but many do not understand the dangers, or at least seriously underestimate them. As a small child I suffered a heat Stroke. I survived (obviously) but since then I have been more attuned to the dangers of weather and outside temperature conditions. Nature does not EF around. One thing I wish you had added; is how to harvest (gather) the cactus and how to prepare the cactus and lichen as food.
Starting out looking familiar.. being born and raised in Florida myself.. got to look up a Dakota fire pit.. but looks like Suwanee River area.. nice.. but rough terrain.. going to watch and observe and see if there's any skills sets that I don't know. Appreciate you going out and doing it so I can learn from this video instead of having to do it myself right now. Although it does look like it was fun.. did I hear you say you used to ride the rails?? Cool.. my great grandfather was a train hopping hobo from Tennessee
I got notification that someone named Joseph George E Jr had left a message.. but nothing to be found..?? Assume a troll who had nothing nice to say? Cause was only notified of less than an hour ago and there is no post.. but shows there was and even the beginning where the person rambles about they sure did learn something.. if the troll wants to try surviving the game.. let's roll..
Out here in Colorado in the sticks no people hardly love it out here all about survival thanks for the tips my uncle showed me taught me similar skills
Awesome experience to share, thank you so much, being sick and at the end, you were so absolutely cool doing a bow drill from scratch.... the knot in my stomach until you had full fire... just fantastic.
Ahh I'm so glad to find a preppers/survivalist from Florida. Central Florida here! There is a book by Peggy Lantz called Florida's Edible Wild Plants. It has full color photos & it's invaluable imo.
I had learn to be extra cautious to leave a trail of stuff I had dropped...now I just check my pockets regularly to make sure it is all where I left it. Anyway great video and thanks for your content.
Enjoyed watching the show..You are hardcore, and one tough guy a man's man...Reminds me of my time in Florida as a kid..As a five year old I brought a baby gater home and left it in the bath tub, and my Mother had a fit. Brings back many good memories watching you...Lol..
Hey CFP thanks for the effort that took to make , when you were suffering under that tree 🌲 I was sipping a cold Canadian club in my comfort zone , was feeling for yu mate 🥃. That looks pretty harsh unforgiving country your doing this in . Take care Brother ,
Loved the movie. 👍😀 It was so interesting that I hated to see it end. You are one tough dude and the real deal! Had to laugh when you covered up to sleep the last night because I was thinking that your Mylar blankets needed a good ironing. 😄🤣😄🤪 Fantastic adventure with lots of teaching moments. Appreciate it so much. Thanks, CFP. 👍👍👍
Surprised this video hasn't had more views. I like this style and hope you do more of them. Any thoughts of doing one with a focus on moving out of urban areas and through rural ones? Maybe a get home or leave home scenario?
Just got done finishing this whole video (sorry it took a while). Awesome stuff brother, very impressive and I learned some new things from it. That sun looked killer, but you beasted it out (sick bowdrill ember too, especially after 5 days out there). Looking forward to whenever you take the Advanced course at the Pathfinder School (you'd definitely do well)!
Is it hard to cover the trail, set up camera then cover it again and go back for the camera. Man I'm sure glad you do all that but I'm guessing it's definitely a sacrifice. Thanks CFP. This video is one to go on my off web archives.... really really really good things here and excellent production
Great video. Glad you boiled up some water before bugging out to your next site. Great to take advantage of the resources you have before moving to an unknown area. FYI, you may be aware of this, but just in case and for your viewers, grasshoppers and crickets have parasites in them. Best, like you mentioned, not to eat anything raw. Thanks for the experiential video!
@@SurvivalLiving Yes. We had some monster ones in the Oklahoma panhandle where I used to work. Twice as big as a Cicada and short, heavy bodies. I thought about it, but when I found that out, I changed my mind. Emergency use only. Made great fish bait! Also you mentioned the wind a lot...and in a earlier video, Wyoming. I lived in the Oklahoma panhandle area for several years. The wind is nerve racking there. A friend of mine used to say, "If you can't golf in 40 mph wind...you can't golf." Almost every day it would blow 40 mph or higher by 10 am. They actually had one of the earliest wind generators built in Clayton, New Mexico. The city thought they would get it cheaply from the builder...but the builder took it down after negotiations failed. Take care!
you've made a very good video , I have one question on water , considering that the poncho is essentially transparent and how much sun you have couldn't you have filled part of the sleeve and use solar purification?
Every time I watch these I pick up something myself being epileptic I know I'd be a goner lol but damn I love these I practice what I see u doing on here hopefully I'll get it but I'm too damn stubborn to give up trying to learn for example how to use a fero rod right lol my spelling may be off a bit here tonight lol

First time watcher. I haven't even got the the start of the video, I just seen all those links down below.. I am looking forward to the video, not like you care but I am judging. lmao.
@@SurvivalLiving I got notification tonight that you liked. Did you just like comment? If so thank you for reminder. Always something. Hopefully next week, maybe this week. Yes I just liked my friend. Ive got over 1k videos published and I haven't been diligent on going back and reviewing comments from my older videos. I do apologize for that
Actually if you want to get technical on this subject, you don't want to store food or clean and prepare a animal in camp. Fire is the ultimate purification system. What is cooked over the fire gets burnt up in the flames and coals below. So yes you can cook in camp. In survival as I shown in this video, resources are extreamly limited so making two separate camp fires with limited fire wood and lack of energy to constantly collection of fire wood is a no. Now if you are in Bear Country, that's a different story, but like I said earlier in the video I had coyote and bobcat tracks in my area. But hey, I trained with the best and was a actual instructor at outdoor survival businesses and now own and operate my own. Had to live off the land for a year and a half.... What do I know
I am a subscriber and have been watching for some time now, its obvious you know what you are doing but the people watching dont necessarily have the same survival know how....i realize you have your hands full out there so you dont necessarily have the time to go over all the do's and donts....i watched the entire video it was great, my comment wasn't meant to offend.

Trying to learn his camera skills. Been taking online courses on that from some film courses.

Us Floridians get hypothermia in 50 DEGREES.

Day 4 in the Florida sun. And like I said the zipper opened. The ebike travels up to 22 mph on open trail.
