I agree. Love my R1S. My biggest complaint is that we have to turn on the 3rd row vent everytime we get in the car. For those of us who haul pets in the back daily, in the summer it would be convenient it the vehicle remembered the last used settings so if the vents were turned on last time, they stay on when we get back in the car.

Nice catch. Yes, that's the 2nd R1S. We took delivery of the 2023 in June of 2023...same spec. Rivian replaced the 2023 with the 2024. See this video if your interested in that story. th-cam.com/video/8u6xtQaPUcA/w-d-xo.html

It's good to see. Hasn't always been the case. Prior it was 2-3 years for OS updates at least for Google devices.

No rear-view camera screen (mirror only). For a vehicle this large (and expensive), this is a con.

That's a great point actually. The rear camera is too low (just above license plate) for this functionality. The R1T has a roof mounted rear camera as well to view the contents of the bed. I wish the R1S had an extra rear camera mounted at the top of the liftgate (near the 3rd brake light). That would have given Rivian the ability to at least offer a rear view on the main display at a later time and its a useful camera angle if you have a lot of cargo loaded in the back and can't see out.
