Blind Wave It was said at one point that use of quirks is kinda treated on a case by case basis. For example, stuff like minor levitation to pick up something you dropped, using you quirk that pops knives out of your fingernails to cook, etc. is still illegal, but is treated like jay walking. On the other hand, if someone with an acid quirk walked down the street dripping acid, using a super speed quirk to run down the highway, or using a teleportation quirk to appear in front of people, even if not malicious, would be treated more harshly because it puts others in danger. The main gray area I wonder about is how quirks play into self defense. If you are attacked by someone using their quirk, are you allowed to defend yourself with your quirk.

I like how Suneater used the power of friendship trope against the villains. And I really love Mirio’s “You’re overestimating me and undervaluing yourself” line. It’s a parallel to the villains Suneater fought in regards to their worship of Overhaul.
Yea but they didn't use that in the dub. They used one of the cringiest lines possible and used "hype" as if they are trying to fit in with the young people. WHy can't the fucking dialogue be kept THE SAME at least majority of the time????

I think one of the interesting and more enjoyable things about Kirishima’s character is that in any other series the friend of the protagonist’s rival would also be their enemy/bully. But in this show, Kirishima being friends with Bakugo has never led to him being antagonistic towards Midoriya. He’s really supportive of him, which kind of breaks the mould of what that character would normally be like in his position.
This manga in general is overall pretty amazing at twisting tropes, my favourite instance of it being the Sports Festival as the Tournament Arcs, nothing goes like other mangas would do it
Nice it's the moment to shine of the Sun Eater. I gotta say even though those 3 are the enemies, I'm impressed in their teamwork. And that subtle massage at the end of the fight with Sun Eater just reveal that they know what friendship means. Giving depth in thier team and character.

Tamaki Amajiki is probably the most versatile of the big 3. Probably the best of the top 3 because of all he can do ! Mirio is clearly a short range fighter and Nejire Hado seems to be more of a range one...Amajiki can pretty much do all, protection, attack a short with clam, mid with octopus and i guess long with it too...Only weakness seems to be the confidence, but pas that , he's pretty much invincible if he master his quirk !
Yeah, he's got multiple quirks in one. I imagine if he gets good enough he can camouflage himself by eating octopi. Imagine if he eats a pistol shrimp. Guy has endless possibilities due to how unique animals are
Could also see a flaw if he was put into a clash of endurance, since his quirk is based on how long it takes before food is digested, but he seems to have that covered with his backup food in his pouches.
I like Rock Lock. He comes across as a dick, but it's more that he just has zero time for bullshit. As we saw here, when he sees something cool, he will acknowledge it.

Bubble girl's quirk is actually quite interesting. She can recreate the scent of anything she has smelled at least once before. She uses this to stun people by creating noxious smells right in front of their faces or temporarily blind them.
Fat Gum has to be one of my favourite anime characters in a while. He's just so wholesome and works to help his sidekicks with their mental health as well as just getting physically strong
I actually love how this episode created a bunch of "rules" that the manga community discussed so much. Like "What does Larceny consider an equipped item?" Like, in a video game you have items put into equipment slots, but in 'real life' there aren't any "slots". If you eat something, is that considered equipped? If you put nail polish on, or have implants, are those equipped? No wrong answers but tons of funny debates.

Mirio and Deku have a rare quality...they can make eveyone around them better ! That is something unique not many people have....like All Might ( yeah i changed my mind thinking about it !)

It doesn't even have to be that gnarly, just imagine a bubbke sized amount of grilled jalapeño fumes bursting in your face. That stuff can stop your breath hard with a whiff if you don't ventilate well, so I can buy it being enough of a distraction to follow up with adept close combat.

with your conversation at around 8:00, they probably just synthesised his hair, which can already be done in our world. It'd be cheaper in the show considering it's set in the future with quirks existing, but he wouldn't need to grow out a ton of hair to get a full costume. They could easily split the hairs and synthesise more until they have enough to make a proper costume.
Tamaki should get a contract with the zoo. They could give him hair, scales, etc. of different animals and he can create pills with different combinations, so he can use different chimera forms depending on the situation.

THis was the first episode that i realized Deku isnt always yelling the name of his and all mights quirk out loud like an idiot. Hes only saying it in his head, which makes it a lot better if you think about it. He didnt say anything, he just ran at the wall and kicked it down until it exploded without saying anything and kirishima yelled his guantlet move alone lol

I don't think I've ever related to a character more than Amajiki. I'm never confident in myself and god do I hope we see him do more. They show so much of Mirio but I've got to be honest I've never been able to relate to cheerful, optimistic characters and those kind of personalities honestly annoy me for some reason. Its why Todoroki and Aizawa are my favorites and All Might while still great I just don't connect with so well.
Bubble Girl (also Centipeder) is a fan-designed character. Keep that in mind when talking about her abilities. Horikoshi is amazing for putting fan designed characters into the story. I don't care about what they do or look like.
True, but the under-boob is still a little weird. Momo's outfit as least is designed with her Quirk in mind and is practically laid out for her to pull it back for more skin if she needs. It'd be much more effort and time to pull her shirt up vs. to the sides like she does. And Midnight is dressed like a dominatrix but at least she acts like one too, so while I don't get her shtick she at least acts in a way you'd expect of someone in that attire. With Bubble Girl, the under-boob is distracting because there's just no reason for it. It doesn't fit her Quirk, her job, or her personality at all. If her shirt was just a little longer and cut off just at the boob line, nothing about her would be blunted.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Nighteye can see someone’s future through their point of view for 24hrs, he can also replay it over like a video. Within the 24 hr I think he can replay the future or visions
Raymond Yongho I think he voices Alphonse in the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime. The voice actor got too old to have the high voice for Alphonse in Brotherhood, so they replaced him and he ended up voicing young Hohenheim during his flashback episode.

Arin is right, Kurono and Irinaka are not part of the Eight Bullets. The Eight Bullets are strong but expendable soldiers to be used at Chisaki's discretion, while Kurono and Irinaka are more like officers. I missed the distinction too my first time reading the manga

I believe the fan creation is the power, not the character/outfit. That said, it looks like she can create bubbles with her hands(despite the gloves) and probably can't control where they go(otherwise she likely would've sent just one, but there were a few in the fight scene against the goon.) As people have said, she can create chemicals in them as well. What's interesting is that she just has to smell it once, then can create the bubbles; she doesn't need to know what it is made of.(though she might need to remember the smell correctly to replicate it) In the end, My Hero Academia tends to go over some of the technicalities in super powers, so if there ever is an explanation(either with author interview or later in the series), I suspect there is fair enough reason.

I'd say that Larceny can take things emitted by quirks. The chicken limbs are a mutation, like the Bird Guy's head, and the tentacles/shells/claws look to be emitted growths, like Shoji's extra extra limbs. I want it to be known that I really like the Bird Guy, but whenever I think of his name, it's overwritten by Todoroki's.
I'm surprised they choose to discuss Bubble Girl over Eri being a better Eraser the Eraser head. As someone who decided to not read the manga amd wait for the anime (since I heard its pretty much panel to panel the same) I gonna go out and say Overhaul is trying to get rid of all quirks so the weaker aren't mistreated and discarded since he took the 3 Bullets/Precepts in after being used and he healed the villains from the end of last season makes me feel like he has good intentions but doing bad things to achieve it.
Yeah, I really don't like Bubble Girl's design at all. It's not really an issue of fanservice specifically, since Momo and Midnight both have good designs that are fanservicey in their own ways. It's just..not a very good design.
bubble girl can actually fill her bubble with a smell that she has smelled before. for example, she could make the bubble smell really bad to distract a villain. pretty unique. edit: rip didn't realize that someone already commented on this
Finally, another above average fight! MHA rarely has these, but I'm glad this episode has good combat. It didn't have top tier choreography but what it did have was good coordination, good usage of abilities and actually fighting back and forth.
One thing I'm wondering is who replaced the shield guy from the 8 Precepts Shigaraki decomposed in the warehouse? I don't remember if this was addressed
Funny how Deku warned him about his clothes, only for him to phase his head only...after taking his helmet off. Worth to note that his helmet is the only thing that can't phase with him.
I ain't saying I ship them but if they had that much meaningful, mutually supportive dialogue and one of them was a girl then they'd probably already be married by shonen standards.
She can, but she has no desire to become powerful, some people want to be heroes, some people want to live a normal life, if you're living a normal life and you feel like your quirk is good enough as it is then why improve it. Plus if she did all that she'd then need to get a license to legally use it in public
They’re really stuck on the potential fate of Mirio. When I was reading it, I was just going chapter by chapter, not considering what would happen in the future. The thought of Mirio losing his Quirk or dying didn’t cross my mind.

I don't think I've ever related to a character more than Amajiki. I'm never confident in myself and god do I hope we see him do more. They show so much of Mirio but I've got to be honest I've never been able to relate to cheerful, optimistic characters and those kind of personalities honestly annoy me for some reason. Its why Todoroki and Aizawa are my favorites and All Might while still great I just don't connect with so well.
Bubble Girl (also Centipeder) is a fan-designed character. Keep that in mind when talking about her abilities. Horikoshi is amazing for putting fan designed characters into the story. I don't care about what they do or look like.

True, but the under-boob is still a little weird. Momo's outfit as least is designed with her Quirk in mind and is practically laid out for her to pull it back for more skin if she needs. It'd be much more effort and time to pull her shirt up vs. to the sides like she does. And Midnight is dressed like a dominatrix but at least she acts like one too, so while I don't get her shtick she at least acts in a way you'd expect of someone in that attire.
With Bubble Girl, the under-boob is distracting because there's just no reason for it. It doesn't fit her Quirk, her job, or her personality at all. If her shirt was just a little longer and cut off just at the boob line, nothing about her would be blunted.

Arin is right, Kurono and Irinaka are not part of the Eight Bullets. The Eight Bullets are strong but expendable soldiers to be used at Chisaki's discretion, while Kurono and Irinaka are more like officers. I missed the distinction too my first time reading the manga

Mimic isn't one of the Eight Bullets. They already showed all of the Eight Bullets during their introduction (when Overhaul talked about them).
I believe the fan creation is the power, not the character/outfit.
That said, it looks like she can create bubbles with her hands(despite the gloves) and probably can't control where they go(otherwise she likely would've sent just one, but there were a few in the fight scene against the goon.)
As people have said, she can create chemicals in them as well. What's interesting is that she just has to smell it once, then can create the bubbles; she doesn't need to know what it is made of.(though she might need to remember the smell correctly to replicate it)
In the end, My Hero Academia tends to go over some of the technicalities in super powers, so if there ever is an explanation(either with author interview or later in the series), I suspect there is fair enough reason.

I'd say that Larceny can take things emitted by quirks. The chicken limbs are a mutation, like the Bird Guy's head, and the tentacles/shells/claws look to be emitted growths, like Shoji's extra extra limbs.
I want it to be known that I really like the Bird Guy, but whenever I think of his name, it's overwritten by Todoroki's.
I'm surprised they choose to discuss Bubble Girl over Eri being a better Eraser the Eraser head. As someone who decided to not read the manga amd wait for the anime (since I heard its pretty much panel to panel the same) I gonna go out and say Overhaul is trying to get rid of all quirks so the weaker aren't mistreated and discarded since he took the 3 Bullets/Precepts in after being used and he healed the villains from the end of last season makes me feel like he has good intentions but doing bad things to achieve it.
Yeah, I really don't like Bubble Girl's design at all. It's not really an issue of fanservice specifically, since Momo and Midnight both have good designs that are fanservicey in their own ways. It's just..not a very good design.
bubble girl can actually fill her bubble with a smell that she has smelled before. for example, she could make the bubble smell really bad to distract a villain. pretty unique. edit: rip didn't realize that someone already commented on this

Finally, another above average fight! MHA rarely has these, but I'm glad this episode has good combat. It didn't have top tier choreography but what it did have was good coordination, good usage of abilities and actually fighting back and forth.

She can, but she has no desire to become powerful, some people want to be heroes, some people want to live a normal life, if you're living a normal life and you feel like your quirk is good enough as it is then why improve it.
