As a dub watcher since the show started, this was the first time that I've actually switched to the sub, because the break between episodes just got so long and the season was already done so there was no harm in it. Regardless, still excited to see how these episodes get dubbed, especially with Gentle's VA and certain scenes.
@Kono Mono yeah, everyone has their own preferences. I didn't like subs until I found out how much I was missing out on, a lot of anime don't get dubbed and the ones that do can sometimes take quite a while.
I'm so happy the MHA reactions are back!! I've been waiting for these! Also, I can't wait for them to see Gentle and La Brava's backstories. All I'll say is, so far, they've already nailed some of it!

I got a little emotional this episode getting to see how excited and invested everyone is in the festival, the students of UA never get to have anything normal no matter what it is it’s always messed up by villains or by other outside forces and because of that I really just want and need the Students to have this one thing

FerociousSpark I can agree with that, I just know the longer the wait is, sometimes it spoils something, but they seemed to be good for this one as long as the wait was. Also, my TH-cam feed would spoil half the shows I watch if I’m not being careful, so I don’t want them to get spoiled either.
I realize this is an older video, but I'm watching it for the first time. Deku Vs. Gentle Criminal is my favorite battle in the series to date, and Calvin(?) pinpointed exactly why that is. It is the highest staked low stake battle that I've ever seen.
Im so glad they are appreciating Gentle and La Brava properly, it will be great to see their reaction to the next episode with all that ambiguity and gray ground on the commentary about Hero Society, and speacilly with these two fun and hilarious partners with their backstories.
Gentle's English va is so great. Love the delivery of some lines, especially that "fair enough.", man it can be little things that turns things truly great. Happy to have you back and huge props to the English localization team for having the passion and ingenuity to keep going. I hope you enjoy these last few episodes! I know I did. Stay safe out there!
What I love about this episode is that it really calls Gentle’s motivations into question. Deku refutes Gentle’s point about helping the students so well that even he admits it doesn’t make much sense.
kinda bummed we wont get to see them all together for the amazing final (in the same room) , but the fact that we are still getting reactions is awesome

They say they're trying to set up dubbing stations in the voice actors homes for those who work at funimation. However from what has been said on Twitter it's looking like an every other week or maybe even 3 week thing until each episode.

All this Endeavor discussion makes me very much excited to see their reaction to the Season Finale. I'm looking forward to see them react to that especially Calvin since he's the only one out of the crew who didn't buy Endeavor's start of character development during the end of the Remedial Arc.

13:44 This reminds me a lot of the sports fest, when Deku and Todoroki had their chat. Todo called him out on being privileged for having All Might teach him, and that running parallel to Shinso accusing him of being blessed by others, or never suffering the same hardships. It was such a great response that Deku has, that yeah he might have received help at every point along the way, and maybe he wasn't deserving of those gifts, but if he didn't do his best he'd let all those people down who got him this far. And it's not even like he does it to repay them necessarily, it's just that he works as hard as he can to be this amazing person that everyone already thinks he is because otherwise their trust in him would have been wasted in his eyes. And that becomes such a HUGE part of his character that I really enjoy because it's a consistent cornerstone of his personality throughout the series.
It's seems that Gentle Criminal is prepared for the *Corona Virus* , walking to an almost empty street, wearing a face mask, and even avoiding contact and distancing himself to others people (Deku). 😆
Gentle was already really fun and a great change of tone for a villain after Overhaul, but the next episode makes him my actual favorite villain in the entire series.
Honestly if Funimation aren't going back to weekly episodes, then I'd rather Blind Wave wait until the season is complete and then watch an episode weekly.

On the unique power discussion, dunno if y'all are much of readers, but the web series Worm by Wildbow has some really interesting superpowers. Wildbow is definitely super creative with his superpower ideas (like a pyrokinetic who can teleport through the flames, or a forcefield creator that uses them to cut people in half). Its stupid long, but a great read.
I hope so much that on the last episode shane will be back and that they will be back in the studio. The last episode as a quarantine reaction will not have the impact as when everyone is together
Azorc yeah but Shane needs some time and he deserves some time off. I also hope he’ll feel better soon but he owes us nothing and he has to put his own health and well being first. It feels like something’s missing but I’d say he should take off as much time as he needs. Of course I also hope he’ll be back for the finale tho.
The powers being really unique is similar to jojo stands or Zanpakutos from bleach which have really creative powers as well with the obvious powers mixed in.

The rope thing is kind of a plot hole, but at the same time Deku said that he had to do some shopping in the morning anyway, so he volunteered to buy a new rope as well :) Also, some people don't like this arc because is more slice of life and Gentle is a "goofy" vilain, but I love the fact that you guys are enjoying it! Like Calvin said: The stakes being so low and so high at the same time is what makes it great! o/

Robert Strawn to be fair Rick has not seen much of endeavor. I am very sure the fight Endeavor will be in soon will change his mind pretty quickly.

I think he creates air membranes with his hands and then throws them. They have same density as regular air so they don't fall down.
