This is part of a tribute to some of my favorite SNES games, the Enix Quintet games: Actraiser, Actraiser 2, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma.

I loved this game when it came out in the 90's
I remember the ending was so bittersweet, hell all the games in this series was bittersweet.

!! My favourite game on the SNES, this is pure nostalgia. Love this. Would love more IoT/Terranigma tracks! IoT had some really sad but beautiful songs. I loved the track that played when you chose not to continue the game after saving.
Browsing through great melodies to hum while takin' dishes - this is the theme i usually hum, and the castle theme from alttp. Braindamaged for life growing up with video games that are now closer to heart than pretty much anything else!
And yes, this reminds me of my childhood, so great comp!
I'll do you one better. I was obsessed with this stuff while my peers were rotting their brains with the beginnings of gangster rap and all the while it was ME being told my entertainment choices were inferior. Golden age video game music is a gateway to classical, romantic, and baroque.

[IoG is my favorite game of all time I'll never forget when I played it over 20 yrs ago. being one of my first games and first RPG at that I got stuck in a few places longer then I would now days those challenges I'll never forget it the journey itself.]

Wirklich schöne Version des Themas, dass den unbeschwerten Charme des Südkaps wiedergibt, bevor das Spiel dich mit dem härteren Zeug konfrontiert.
Nach deinem letzten Quintet Quintett habe ich schon darauf gewartet das Plasma den Track nochmal einzeln auf TH-cam hochladen würde.
Nochmal dickes Lob für deinen umfassenden Spielbericht zu Actraiser und Illusion of Time, hat mich sehr angesprochen!
Das Spiel war das erste Spiel, was mich stundenlang vor dem Fernseher gefesselt hat.

The image at the end suggests there would be remakes for Actraiser and Actraiser 2, but I wasn't able to find them. Id really love to see some of the excellent tracks from Actraiser 2 get this treatment.

Btw, this game was released with another name which is "Illusion of Time".
This is a beautiful arrangement of the games sound track. What I can see in my imagination is a beautiful city that has spent all Saturday working hard to prepare for a wonderful festival to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. After early hours of divine liturgys the towns folk and members of the church can finally start the festival and celebrate with singing and dancing and take part in games and Easter activitys as peace and happiness rests on the citizens of the city.

It's okay, but I'm kinda disappointed there wasn't more variation, especially after hearing your 8 Melodies remix (and both songs were likely inspired by Pachelbel's Canon).

Ah, this brings back memories. I used to love this game, but recently I discovered it's rather painful to revisit. I'm not sure whether the writing was bad to begin with, or was just poorly translated, but man is the dialogue/narration terrible! At least it still looks and sounds wonderful, and the gameplay is alright.
I like the idea of the game better than the execution.
Its a bible story if you don't get any of the references then ya you need to replay this game.

I replayed it today, (Played it as a kid but never got past the castle because of not knowing english), and I realized how SLOW the game is. They move sooo sloooow in cutscenes.
If only this game didn't have such a bad localization...
