This is a big topic which is not much discussed in our society today. Just today I was reading about how children, mostly women/girls are seen as a burden, especially someone who has mental health issues. They get them married to unsuspecting people who are not aware of their conditions. They then have their own kids and the cycle of trauma and mental health continues. They have children because of societal pressure, mostly the parents. Education will help in some ways but this tradition/cycle will continue. My favourite quote till date is 'The reasonable man adapts himself to the world, but the unreasonable man adapts the world to himself so therefore all progress depends on him'. by some author I forgot who.
