In this video I share my results from a 1971 expired roll of Kodak Tri-X Pan 400 film. Kelsey and I took Alaina to the town square on a beautiful day to shoot this film and had a good time. Enjoy!

I know this video is a year old, I just want to chime in regarding being a new parent and having NO time. I GET IT! Ours will be three this month, and I still haven't had time to really go out and shoot. But having this beautiful girl is amazing. I'll get back to the photography one day. I love tri-x, but my favorite film, discontinued, was plus-x.

It’s definitely worth the trade off!
Plus-x is beautiful I wish they’d bring it back.

Old B/W film just never seems to die if you know how to adjust. Well done, Aly.

Hi Aly! I am in love with the images you received. The photo that had the gazebo with the palm trees was my favorite! Great video!

For your camera, I am following a new TH-camr, Oddball Camera, he does have very old and not often seen camera. A very knowledgeable gentleman on old camera

Cool video Aly! Love the shot with the gazebo. Really great results with such an expired film.

The pictures look incredible! That film is older than me so I was shocked at how good it looks. Great video.

Congrats on getting that birth-week backlog completed! It took me ~3 months as well. The image over Kelsey's shoulder is a really lovely way to make a street photo. Looks like Mike Eckmann reviewed a simialr Kodak folding 3A camera. I have used 120 film on an Zeiss-Ikon 122 camera using adapters (bought on FPP); the images are 6x14, which is a neat panorama width. I used a dead 120 roll to figure out how many turns to advance the film between frames - I can get five 6x14's per 120 roll.

Thanks Tim! I saw Mikes review. Unfortunately it looks like my camera is missing an important piece. Check out my Instagram story. I posted a video showing it. I’m so sad.

Nice video Aly! Love the cameras, images and also I agree its so much easier to write up than get together the stuff to film, but thanks for filming this one and putting it together, enjoyed it!!

Nice images. Shooting old film can be something of a crap shoot at best especially color but really old BW has its challenges. Looking forward to the F2 review. I have two of them but one won’t connect with the two meters I have. The other looks like a war veteran but works perfectly.

Lovely photos as always, Aly. Btw, there is a great video here on TH-cam, by Borut Peterlin titled "Kodak Folding Brownie 3A / Topshit Photography Vlog 50". Definitely check it out!

I saw that! But I’ve just inspected the camera further and it’s missing a major part. If you check out my Instagram stories I posted a video there showing it. I’m so sad. I wanted to shoot some paper negatives in it like Borut did.

@@AlysVintageCameraAlley Shame about the missing part. I hope you eventually find the part and fix it, coz she's a beauty! Best of luck Aly.
