❤🎉 top movie ! Great example 😊 keep up the good work. Let us all cut down on social media, and let us get out more in to nature. Live in The moment. Greeting from Belgium 🎉
That was a great watch and some cracking carp especially the last one you photographed.A cracking little adventure carp fishing should be a no phone zone 100%
Naaa am calling it more of these two out on the canal enjoying life what a breath of fresh air to see fishing been appreciated for its simplicity and beauty!🖤
Fantastic intro and outro, completely sums up the importance of getting out there, so easy not to go because of obstacles we put in the way. And some great river carp too!!
awesome Vlog mate really enjoyed watching this. as I'm only 10min up the road from this stretch of river. might have to give it a go with the 6ft sawn off 🙂
Been fishing this bit for nearly 30 years always been good carp in that stretch there is another stretch further up with a amazing head of carp would love to see someone do I video on that stretch
Please please please look into the phenomenon called blue minds. I am a surf coach and I preach the benefits of being in or around open absences of what. Please look into it. Its a chemical effect on the brain when in or around water. The short of it is, it keep you present and in the mind state of flow. This if the most healthy mind set to be in. I struggle with the stresses and hardship of life ( mental health struggles). This can actually be a life saver. PS you guys at bait works are awesome and you do such a good role. Your unique west country ways is homily for me. All the best lads. BLUE MINDS :)
Every canal has carp in them somewhere if you look hard enough ive been blessed this year to catch 3 carp and all over 13lb biggest being 17lb all commons on bread but ive seen a really nice ghostie koi looking thing and a huge mirror well into the 20lb size and i think ive lost one that was defo a 20lb fish couldnt do nothing with it when i hooked it done me accross to the far bank and kited round to the right into the reed bed where i hooked it from and it spat the hook in the bush, when i looked at the hook afterwards the black paint was rubbed of it from the power of the fish
Thanks Tom, these are the 10ft 3.5tc versions, the best version for versatility in my opinion. Lovely and forgiving still under the tip and can still chuck a lead if needed :)
Back along I spotted about 5 or 5 really nice carp in a river/drain called the 40 foot. I put bait in but they didn't even sniff it or stop to look. How do you go about catching fish like that, hard enough to find them let alone get 1 to feed.
Hi Gary, prebaiting an area daily for a few weeks at least has always helped me train canal/river carp into feeding on the spot, then drop a rig in after a few weeks and I'm sure you'll get a result mate. All the best
I was fishing this stretch of the canal all the time in 2010. I saw, caught and lost some great carp and knew it would get discovered eventually. There was a big peachy coloured mirror in there and a jet black one too... both 30lb + never did catch them.. wonder who did?
@@BaitworksTV The seals get into the canal? Wow. No reason why they can't I suppose. I lost something really big right near the lock gates that haunts me to this day. Especially as there was a rumour of a canal 40 in there at the time! Great vid mate. Who knows what might turn up there one day. There are some well stocked syndicate waters a few locks upstream that flood almost every year so who knows?
No offence but who thinks it's wise fishing inside edge of lily beds. Farce prevention is key. The whole advantage of baiting up for weeks and fishing for unpressured fish is that you can fish safe spots so there's no danger of loss in snags/lilies etc.
The lillys were fine mate, the fish was safely landed, no issues at all and the lillys weren't dense at all. Certainly wouldn't consider putting the fish in danger. The boaters presented more of an issue with the motors.
What cool film, canal, old wild carp and friendship, totally encompasses what fishing should be about. One of the best I seen.
Nice one Finn...Good fishin u guys..
Really enjoyed this mega!!!!!!!!

@@BaitworksTV unfishable in what way mate ? I have been looking at buying a boat lol
@@andyclaydon70 Not allowed to fish most of the areas from the bank sadly.

Cheers Kev, great stuff mate and glad you enjoy them
Great video Mike can you tell me what rods you using thinking of buying some 10ft ones but not sure the best all-round test curve to go for cheers 👍
Cheers Leigh, I use the ESP 10ft 3.5tc, thats the best TC imo for all round use, they're still nice and forgiving under the tip. cheers Mike
Another great watch
Thanks Matt, glad you enjoyed it mate. Thanks for the feedback.
Had no idea there was such a place in Essex!😱 Told some poor bugger there were no canals in Essex a week or 2 ago😂
Chelmer at haybridge basin

Cheers Tommy, glad you enjoyed it mate. All the best
Hell of a sesh for a canal 🎣
Yes mate I got very lucky, they don't happen like that very often.
Brilliant video! What length and lb are your ESP rods?
Thanks Tom, these are the 10ft 3.5tc versions, the best version for versatility in my opinion. Lovely and forgiving still under the tip and can still chuck a lead if needed :)
You had some amazing river Carp there. Good idea to hire a barge for a carp fishing week. What canal and area did you fish?
Cheers Graham, yes a little boat like Finns is the way to explore the waterways for sure.

Lovely bit of water, plenty of Otters and Seals believe it or not so they run the risk of predation sadly.

Thanks Mori :)
How did you get around fishing so close the boats and jetty’s when there’s signs saying you specifically can’t do that
Didn't see any signs mate, plus Finn owned a boat in the marina so as far as I was aware he was allowed to fish in it.
Cracking fish mate!!!. What do you think of the esp rods looking a buying some my self
Cheers James, been using the 3.5tc versions for ages and they're brilliant mate, nice and compact too.

Love it💪

What tc are them rods
Hi Kev, I use the 3.5tc ESP quickdraws and that TC is so versatile, great rods.
