    I like that sort-of-Canadian blade shape. I bet Will would take a liking to this knife, right after he says "as usual, Chris slaps something in my hand............"

    Hello Chris, thank you for another fine review. I'm still saving for that one special knife. You are correct Chris, there are too many choices.
    Take care out there. 🤗

      I'm still thinking about the black bird and that knife is under $ 100 buck's. I have to justify for me to buy a knife for that much money I would have to use it all the time like my main tool to use not just something to look at and put it in a bag and never use it like other knives I own.

    This is a nifty little knife. I would love this for carry on the boat tender. Great for beach side bonfires and general purpose tropical island mucking around.

    I love Bark River Knives....Escanaba, MI represent!! I live in Petoskey, MI. But, I'll tell you what....the TOPS Camp Creek in s35vn with a very nicely executed kydex and leather dangler sheath is the best deal right now for an all around camp, hike, canoe, skin, etc knife..... $150.

    Thanks Chris for the reviews and giving everyone to see what it can do before spending that much money on a knife. Myself I'm still thinking about the black bird and that knife is under $ 100 buck's I have to justify for me to buying an expensive knife that would have to be something I would have to use often. I buy expensive tools I use those all the time to build thing's they don't sit on the shelf.

    Wish it was a little bigger in handle. Depending on glove I am at very end of large and perfect at XL so with no choil I would be on blade. If it wasn't for that it would be a contender.

    Funny how bark river used a few other handle configs other than the original canadian, which is a good thing cause the original handle shape doesn't lend well to a hammer grip, the one bush beaters like so much... wow :o unintended

    Those super thick pins look like it will weaken the tang. I prefer them to be thinner, 3/16 diameter maximum. IMO, handle pins don't have to be so thick.

    Hey Chris I paid you a very nice compliment on my last review. But it was not you who responded back. I think if you're going to keep doing knives and flashlights you should change the name from preparedmind101 the best knives 101. I personally would like to see some reviews on ultralight 10th and ultralight stove to heat the tents things of that nature but that is only my opinion best of luck on your new show I'm sure I will still watch it

    I own an “Ambush Tundra.” Is this a mini version of it? Did Bark River buy out Ambush Knives, or what’s the connection between the two companies?....Because I believe my Ambush Tundra has a Bark River handle but doesn’t have any Bark River branding. #preparedmind101 #theocdhunter

    • @TheOCDHunter
      @TheOCDHunter 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never mind. I didn’t watch far enough....before I commented

    • @az-chris1136
      @az-chris1136 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also own an Ambush Tundra (and love it)! As far as I understand, the Ambush brand name was created by and sold (exclusively?) through DLT Trading. DLT had Bark River make the knives per "their" design (although it was probably done in collaboration with BRK from the start). It now appears that Bark River Knives has taken ownership of the Ambush brand name and rolled it into their brand. The Tundra knife design was a cross between the BRK Canadian Special (leaf) blade and BRK Aurora handle . . . arguably taking the best element/feature of each knife and combining the two.

    • @TheOCDHunter
      @TheOCDHunter 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      AZ-Chris thanks for the info, I been wondering how that all played out, because when you go to the “Ambush” website all they sell is the Alpha & Bravo. I agree I love this blade, it is probably one of my favorites! Mine has a two tone handle Natural Maple Burl into a Dark Brown Acrylic Hybrid. Absolute work of art! It’s in CPM3V too! #theocdhunter

    • @az-chris1136
      @az-chris1136 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheOCDHunter The Ambush Tundras have sold out, the only models left in stock are the Alpha & Bravo. The TH-cam channel Virtuovoice did a nice review of the Tundra several years ago . . . Unless you requested at time of purchase from DLT or sent in to BRK later, the Tundra came in a flat, sabre grind (not the usual BRK convex), though it could be re-profiled to convex. The original was only offered in 3V, had a blade length of about 4.5 inches, overall length of 9.5 inches and blade thickness of 0.150. Mine is in Chechen Burl and Mosaic pins.

    • @TheOCDHunter
      @TheOCDHunter 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      AZ-Chris yeah I’ve watched that video. Love listening to him. I just stared my channel, but I plan on doing a review on mine when I get a chance. I only have 3 videos up, but I have 6 on the computer I have to get edited. Once again thx for the info. Blessings #theocdhunter
