I know that Dylan got a great voice and the guitar and bass are really great as well, but i can't help but being really amazed by the drums, seriously, he is killing it
First time hearing this band. Props to whoever the sound guy is for KEXP. I really love the mix, and there's no doubt in my mind that my first impression of this band would have definitely been different if the sound was off. Great stuff.
I've said this before, but KEXP is amazing for doing these sets. For my band research I usually first check to see if KEXP has had the band in studio. Pumped to check these guys out at Coachella now!
Jayson Gerycz is one of the most creative drummers around today. He goes way outside the realm of what is expected from a drummer but never overplays. Playing along to Cloud Nothings has improved my drumming immensely.
I saw them live at terraneo this summer, they were electrifying! Just I wish more ppl showed up, I hope they won't avoid croatia in the next few years coz I definitely want to see them again
This vid got me into them way back in 2013. Never looked back. Sad their other guitarist couldn't stay with them. They transitioned to a 3 piece seamlessly tho
saw these guys at Laneway festival Sydney a bunch of years back.. The Men, Pond, And Japandroids were on the same stage that night and these guys took blue Ribbon for me.. And that was basically my introduction to them.
Firstly, on this album, his intent was to sound more grungy. He specifically cited : Black Sabbath, The Wipers, Killdozer, Zounds, etc. People from 2 decades ago were trying to sound like them, so there you go. Numero Dos, He basically has to try and make his voice sound like that. Listen to his earlier stuff and you'll see what i mean.
@hotboxcomics "McLovin" is in a band... They're called The Young Rapscallions. Pretty genuine live. Good to know they are not a studio band. Love AoM but the new album is looking shaky.
Killed it! I just reviewed Cloud Nothings new album "Here and Nowhere Else" on my channel, check it out if you like, would love to hear what everyone is thinking about their 4th album!
Man, that kid can sing high & clear. I know I'm gonna get kicked for this, but I"m hearing some DWAYNE frikkin ALLMAN on the lead voicing there?!! hahahaha So awesmoe!

I come back periodically to see stubble Dylan when I've had enough of lumberjack Dylan.
The singer has an extremely unique sound.. cant wait to see more of this band.. Im seeing big things.

Attack on Memory was the best album of 2012.

Saw them 3 times in 1 year and loved every show
I don't know how many times I've seen this!!!Still can't get enough!
Nice drumming. The guy's right on top of it from the very first beat.

I love these guys so damn much.
McLovin's in a band?!?! HHahaha really though I love these guys. Wish they would've played No Future / No Past or some of the other darker songs.
wish they would've played no sentiment that's probably my favorite by them
best live performance so far
Easily one of the best albums this year.
All those years after I confirm it was indeed. Maybe the best ahaha

I hate how people always look for other bands in bands, just enjoy the sound and stop thinking!
Awesome performance..
True. I didn't say they were influenced, just that their sound is similar. I suppose that would happen if they have similar influences.
you guys are amazing!! cheers from Brasil!
Great guys!! Love it

Love this band! Younger fans should google/you tube a band called "The Feelies" ...
Omg, it's Steven Wilson on drums!!
Sounds deeply nostalgic ;)
hey if you dont like it... click on something else! plenty of music out there!
Such a good sound, pure fucking insane ear candy!
Its like a cross between; sonic youth, pixies.. slightly radiohead... and some other bands that sound similar to them.
gr8 stuff
They totally sound like the band Cloud Nothings.
Fun

It is great. All of their work is fantastic. Stellar band!
Know where I can find lyrics to Here and Nowhere Else? Google only brings up lyrics for half of the songs...
cool shit man, these guys do not disappoint live.
I dig it
Same!!
i'm reminded of the great boston band The Embrassment.
Man, that kid can sing high & clear. I know I'm gonna get kicked for this, but I"m hearing some DWAYNE frikkin ALLMAN on the lead voicing there?!! hahahaha
