I find the use of the name John Doe interesting. John Doe is a placeholder name for a person who can't be Identifed or whos name is intentinally being withheld. It's often used in legal proceedings.
This Name could've been assighned to the joker when he was being examined by a psychologist when he had his mental break greating the Joker resulting in him lossing his original identity, thus possibly nessesitating the use of the placeholder John Doe. He just seems to have addopted the name as his true name.

To me this is the Canon ending. It's just so perfect. Is the perfect way for this entire story to end. With the joker and Batman being truly friends in the end. And Bruce Wayne visiting him after he's incarcerated into arkham. It's just the icing on top of the cake. It makes everything that they have went through throughout the entire game worth it. This is the reason why this is my absolute favorite version of joker and always will be. He also has my favorite voice.
This version of Joker reminds me of a good friend of mine from middle school. He had some seriously behind brain development, and he was such a heck. By high school, he chipped all of his teeth. He liked to flip desks, or yell at people, but he always tried to justify it. He thought we where BFF forever. It was adorable.

@@wa6488 because in the game bruce is undercover and he's using John as a leverage but depending on your choices you can actually make them become real friends and not just a fake friendship in order to get into the pact

2:07:58 as much as Joker was out for blood here, he had a point. Batman was being a hypocrite, as he was in a way, excusing Waller for all her actions and letting her escape, even though he doesn't do that for most criminals. If there ever is a season 3, I think Joker could ground Batman and make him truly follow through with his code and make sure everyone is held within the law. Crossed fingers!

I don't know how else to say it, I've re-written this an ungodly amount of times now, but I kinda wish there was an ending where John proves himself to Waller, gives up the vigilante act and takes some therapy or something, maybe there'd be a time skip where we see Joker in a successful career, maybe a TH-camr or something I don't know, something funny, something related to his dark humour I don't know, that works online.
I'd imagine a stand up comedian. But perhaps that's too cliche.

What I love is no one has done a story like this. The code between each of them, more than love, its both being the same guy, worse off than 2face and more complicated than him and Catwoman, sure the backstory of the joker in comics is great, but to me its like how old days were the vampires, i like this relationship between batman and joker because they both know the problems, top of that they are arguing the solution to the same problem and for the best friend aspect I like it, because batman hadn't made a robin yet, joker was the bit of levity during his missions.

Joker's last line 'You are one messed up guy' sums up their whole friendship. Like on the one hand (in this root at least) Batman was kind to him and forgiving and gentle. But on the other hand he also let him continue his toxic relationship with Harley, used him for information, and in the end let him help in crime fighting when he was clearly in the middle of a pure identity crisis. And after all that, Batman still considers Joker someone he cared about. Messed up. (Great run!) [[Also it could just be Joker having a self aware moment like: 'you like a crazy murderer? you're weird, man, lmao']]
I see where you're both coming from.
I really liked this version of the Joker that Telltale created. Still a mysterious past, but the actions of your character decide what he becomes. Either pushing him further into madness to become the arch enemy of Batman, or Joe tries to be good an may eventually turn around and become the White Knight version of Joker (aka Jack Napier).
I find it absolutely funny how in most continuities the Joker is a toxic partner for Harley, but here it's the reverse.

@@seemeno1 what Guy is saying that in this video we saw Bruce deny the slushie, but during the scene where John was surrounded by the dead bodies of the agents (I think it's around there, or when we talk to drunk John), John tells Bruce that Bruce drank Harely's slushie when Bruce knew John was in love.
Obviously what happen was that Father put in another clip from the drinking slushie path so we can see what we want to see since he might have chosen another thing to say when he was in the did not drink slushie path.

Only things I can think of is that it wasn't the same save file for whatever reason. It's likely they had multiple to show more of the dailogue options. Or its one of the situations in a Telltale game where certain things happen regardless of the choices you made. :S

That storyline made me realize why Batman doesnt accept any friendship from anyone and put pretty high walls to everyone around him. With kind hearth Bruce couldnt do the Batman thing and dealing with Joker made his hearth softer. When i heard "But Al, He is my friend.
