I’ve been wondering how to use the energy cards for years, I am clueless and have been since 2012
The Pokemon have attacks. Each attack requires certain energy cards. You can attach one energy to one Pokemon each turn. Example: If you have Charmander who requires one fire 🔥 energy card for his attack ember ( usually doing 20 or 30 damage) just put down one fire energy card next to Charmander and you can use his ember attack. Once you evolve him to Charizard he'll need more energy cards. Usually 4 to 6 fire energy cards. Tip: make sure to use the right energy cards for your attacks. Sometimes it will show a Gray energy with a symbol like this (✴️) that means (normal energy) you can put any energy card you want. Example if it shows💧💧✴️ that means you can put the water energies or two water and one grass. Or two water and one fire. Or two water and one fighting energy etc. etc. Hope you understand. And again, attach one energy card per turn

@@user-cu5mc7bv4d I'll also add that there are special energy cards as well that have special effects. For example, Draw Energy is a card that gives one colourless energy when played instead of a coloured one but let's you draw a card as well.

@@Jg-rp5eg physical cards can be shuffled through in seconds to see if there's a pokemon wanted but in video games it'll take a half a minute at most maybe more

glad they made a video about this after YEARS of most people not knowing how to play and just buying them to collect them.
YoshiBlade75 yes, im one. We had like this crazy game where we shuffle our cards then just put them on a pile one by one, and when you placed a card that is the same as the one placed before then all the cards placed is yours. Example, if your opponent placed an electric type then the next card u placed happen to be electric type then you keep all the cards. Its crazy cuz once the pile gets big then its by chances.

Really new to Pokemon tcg and I have a question about evolving a pokemon. say I have a basic charmander from sword and shield rebel clash, could I evolve it to a stage 1 chameleon from darkness ablaze? Also could I use a basic pokemon from say sun &moon and evolve it to a stage 1 sword & shield?

I know you can win if your opponent can’t draw, and every time you reshuffle your hand in the deck to search for a basic Pokémon so you can put on the field he draws a card if you build a deck with no Pokémon can you use this deck in tournament as a manipulation to make your opponent not draw???
you need at least one basic pokemon in your deck, which would only lead to around 10 mullingans.
Someone please tell me if this is correct. If you don't have a basic, you have to re-shuffle and draw again. Plus your opponent gets an extra card taking their total card count to 61????
No. It just means after you find a basic, for each time you had to shuffle again, your opp gets to draw another card from top of their deck. So they start with more cards in hand than you.

@@igur_yes.8553 in the past elekids had the text "baby pokemon" on them. They also had text on early ones, saying they can evolve in electabuzz, then later had an ability saying the could evolve. The newer baby pokemon are just basics separate from their later evolutions completely. Baby pokemon usually have their own gimmick when it comes to gameplay.

If you are not buying cards and scanning them into the game then you don't stand a chance against most other people, the cards the game offers are simply not good and not enough to make much of anything noteworthy in terms of a good deck, what this game needs is more focused work on its single player aspect, for people that may not want to spend a fortune on the cards.
