I have sampled both definitely prefer Herod the way the vanilla cinnamon and Tabaco combine reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
I have Oajan and Pegasus exclusif which I love but they are weak performing but in general Parfums de Marly have watered down most of their fragrances a couple years ago due to IFRA regulations, perfume oil supply shortages during the pandemic and profit margin reasons due to the level of distribution. The boxes used to say 79% alcohol vol or 21% oil or higher now they’re all 82% or 18% perfume oil even on the exclusifs. It’s way overpriced and makes the scents less rich and more like a bathroom candle not strong classical French perfumes. And if you’re paying over $300-400 for fragrances like that it’s foolish which it’s better to buy on discounters or find another brand entirely.

@@Revesdefragrance IFRA regulations in the EU are to thanks. Look up Aaron Terrace Hughes. He reviews a vintage 1980s sample of "Coco" by Chanel and explains that the new stuff is a shadow of it's former self by comparison.He's also a european perfumer who explains some of the IFRA regulations and their effects on the quality of the perfumes made in Europe today.
OAJAN smells like Une Nuit Nomade Sugar Leather to me. Both share similar notes. But the leather in Sugar Leather gives it a twist of darkness and mystery. I need to get a full bottle of Sugar Leather when I’m done with my 25ml. 😂
Sugar Leather is a great scent!! A bit less cinnamon 😁
In your opinion is Sugar Leather more appropriate for colder weather or suitable for all seasons?
Like and have both but Herod is in my top five perfumes

Really! It does have a very dry sweet smoky effect

Herod is awesome, but it doesn't project. Mancera Red Tobacco is a full beast in comparison. As you mention, I like Oajan a lot, but I would prefer Herod too. Oajan is a little too Gourmand for me.
Red Tobacco is definitely a beast nice choice!
