Thank you for sharing this wonderful world inside the Japanese shop. Maybe one day I would be lucky enough to visit Japan again, then I want to visit such a shop.
I think this kind of shop is unique to Japan, so please stop by when you are sightseeing. If you like fishing, I think it will be a very interesting experience. Please come to Japan again.
Micro fishing is becoming more popular in the US. In Hawaii, there are so many opportunities for micro fishing,,, in the saltwater tide pools and in all the freshwater streams. Ala Moana Beach Park, right in Waikiki has thousands of baby tilapia and mosquito fish in all the ponds... too small to hook on light tackle, but so much fun and easy to hook on the smaller Tenago tackle. Thank you for the English subtitles... very good. Your English is so much better than my Japanese. Aloha.
I didn't know it was becoming popular in the US either. I'm surprised to read your comments and see how many different countries enjoy micro fishing. For me, Hawaii gave me the impression of catching extra large fish like trolling for marlin and tuna. I'm really happy that it has changed the impression of fishing, which is enjoyed in many different countries. Thank you.
Your English subtitles were very good and made the video most informative. Tenago fishing may be in decline in Japan but it has traveled well as micro fishing. Here in New Zealand, there are a few who fish in the traditional Japanese style with small delicate rods and tiny hooks below a tiny float. Native fish are the target and a fish of 25 mm is the goal mostly from small intimate waters. Thank you for your lovely videos.
Thank you. I think my English is not good enough, but I am trying my best to make you understand the contents as much as possible. I am very happy with your words. Oh, micro fishing in New Zealand!? I learned about it for the first time. If it is because you are interested in Japanese tanago fishing, I am really happy. I imagine New Zealand as big trout fishing in the vast nature. I am really happy just to think that a slightly unusual Japanese fishing, targeting small fish, is being enjoyed in a faraway country. Thank you so much for sharing such a good story.
@@TAKA_ojfc New Zealand does indeed have very large trout, especially on the south island. However there are other fish here too, large koi carp in the north island plus perch are widely distributed and in some waters reach a very large size. There are other species too but pollution and climate change have reduced the fish population in many lowland waters to a fraction of the haydays some years ago and so microfishing is a very viable pursuit in the small forgotten waters.
@@stevensad38 I see... I was reminded that changes in ecosystems due to pollution and climate change are common all over the world. Even the naturally rich New Zealand is no exception. In Japan, too, the number of tanago fish has drastically decreased due to environmental changes, which is one of the reasons why tanago fishing has become less common. It's such a shame.
@@stephenjackson1828 Hello. thank you! Many anglers in Japan consider the UK to be the holy land of fly fishing. I think so too😃 The scene where a fly line draws an arc in a river rich in nature is art in itself.
I've never experienced anything like this in my local area in Australia. This is quite amazing for a fisho. Thank you for sharing, super jealous , but in awe never the less.
Hello. Japan is a small country, but it is blessed with an abundance of water. I think the fact that there are two shops like this in a small town is a symbol of how much fishing is loved by so many people. If you drive 10 minutes from this shop, there is another shop, and if you drive another 30 minutes, you will reach a large fishing tackle shop in the next town. I would also like to introduce you to another shop sometime.
There are many large fishing tackle shops like this in Japan, so you can buy kneaded bait for fishing with just a short drive. There are various types of bait for carp fishing, and most of them just need to be mixed with water. sorry that my English is not good. Would "manufacturers" be more appropriate?
Thank you for watching the video. There are two large fishing tackle stores in my town alone. The names of the stores are "Casting" and "Joshuya." These two chain stores are located all over Japan. However, in cities like Tokyo and Osaka where there are few fishing spots, the shops may be a little small. Please enjoy Japan😊
@@TAKA_ojfc what towns would you say are the best to find good deals on fishing used fishing gear? As of right now we are doing Tokyo but willing to explore as much as possible
@@kept_infocus3274 There are used items in some parts of the "Casting" store. The store that mainly sells used items is called Tackle Berry. I think there are more than 10 Tackleberry stores in Tokyo. Since this is a store that sells second-hand goods, the selection and products vary depending on the store, but I think you can find some good items. Although the store is not large, the store called ``Sansui'', which has several stores in Tokyo, is also a famous store. Sansui also sells used items, so they may have some good ones.

I was just in Tokyo, third week of March. It rained constantly and didn’t see much cherry blossoms. This would have been great to see instead of all the anime stuff.😭😭😭
Oh! You came to visit Tokyo! Did you enjoy Japan? There were many cold days in March in Japan this year. Cherry blossoms bloom in Tokyo only in April. In mid-April, cherry blossoms bloom throughout the town and are very beautiful. In addition to anime, Japan has a lot of fun culture that is not well known. Please come and visit us again.😊👍
Even though the cherry blossoms weren’t in full bloom, I still had a great time seeing Tokyo Tower, Skytree, Mt. Fuji trip, Nikko Temple, and many other things. I got to eat my fill of wagyu beef too. I’ll be back some day and hopefully cherry blossoms will be in full bloom.
