HomeFreeism = a technique used to upgrade the cover of a song while still showing respect for, and staying true to, the original. Thanks for another great Home Free reaction!
I feel that Adam is the heart and soul, that glue them all together. They are a fantastic group, and have a way of making every song magic, and better than the last, what ever random song you choose to listen to.
This is an amazing video. Brooke Eden is perfect for this song. Love the western setting, costumes harmonies and Tim's bass as well as Adam Rupp's percussion.
Every voice is distinct, still blends and adds their special contribution! The video was great. Tim was bringing up the. basement plus Adam gluing it all together! Love how the boys make guests feel honored!
I've seen this about 50x by now 😉 and every time I see it, I immediately think of Tombstone! One of my all time favorite movies. Tim reminds me of Doc Holiday (Val Kilmer). 😄 But the way they're all lined up there, I think of the fight at the OK Corral. I love the way they did this and the location too!! Fun reaction!!
I remember Tanya Tucker & Helen Reddy singing this - once again, Home Free (with Brooke Eden) brought a song from the 1970s back to life. I love everything about this video - the beatboxing, harmonies, singing, setting - all of it. Thanks for playing this & your comments. There are live versions of it on y/t as well.
Great reaction! This is pure classic country perfection they sound so amazing together. This song was first released in 1971 by Bette Midler then released again in 1972 by Tanya Tucker and made it to the top ten of the country charts then released again in 1973 by Helen Reddy made it to number one on the US charts Fun Fact: That outfit that Austin is wearing was worn by Clint Eastwood in some of his western movies.
Nice reaction! Such a great song! Bette Midler did it first in 1971 but I remember Tanya Tucker & Helen Reddy's versions. The guys did a really nice job backing up Brooke Eden on this song. They never take away from a guest vocalist. And how cool did they all look dressed in the western theme. Reminded me of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western movies I used to watch.
It’s so good. I think Brooke has a great voice. The only thing I know about her is that she was on American Idol about 10 years ago. Loved Tim’s lows and Austin’s highs. Loved them as cowboys too. Tim reminded me of Doc Holliday or Wyatt Earp in Tombstone. Good reaction LB!!!🥰
I believe they have a video coming out Friday of one of Austin's originals. It's one of a trilogy of videos they filmed recently that all fit together.
They can do any song, any genre, with anyone, and make it amazing. Home Free gets better with everything they do. Loved your reaction and can't wait for more.
Some of us just watched a brand new video on patreon..it's gonna be a trilogy 😍😍 how cool is that! Lol Brooke sounds great with our boys 🤘🤠🤘 always love your reactions Lieben ❤
Yep! They nailed this one, and Brooke really is the perfect addition to it! I have seen so many Home Fries who have said that Home Free introduced many other country artists to them through Home Free’s covers. I was never into country music much with the exception of a few artists here and there. Home Free has won me over with their covers. (I am still a big fan of Keith Urban.☺️). Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction! I have not doubt you’ll reach that 10k very soon!
So much going on in this song! Brooke Eden and Home Free really sound good together, I hope they give us more songs. Enjoyed your reaction and commentary❤
Awesome! I like this better than the original and other covers Great sung, incredible bass, unbelievable beatboxing/vocal sounds, amazing harmonies. Each has just the right role in the song. And then the video!!! Wow. They all look perfect🥰😍. Images from earlier Western movies that I watched a lot came back! Yes, another successful cover!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Home Free and Brooke Eden are awesome together!💖
Lieben, I think youliked this one 😎🤣 I liked it just much, and sometimes I get tired of hearing the new ones trying to respond to all the reactors, but not so with Delta Dawn....I can listen to this one and enjoy it as much on listen 1,000 as I did on listen 1
Thanks Lieben ‼️🙃. I went to google &, looked the writer & the story behind the song. He wrote it about his mother. She didn’t have good taste in men, he stood her up at the alter, really messed her up. She went kinda crazy…became an alcoholic, her son (who wrote this), told her Not to come to see him sing, & cause a scene. She was drunk, plowed into a pole & killed herself. He blamed himself for years, depressed … was at a get together with some of his friends, were drinking….they all fell asleep, but him….he was blaming himself …real sad…..&, in this stupor…saw her sitting in a chair in front of him…”told him to quit blaming himself”… in the morning, woke his friend, &, they wrote this song about her….&….that’s the story about the song…..True Story🙃🔥❤️‼️
Tim is dressed like Wyatt Earp & Austin looks like a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western! I grew up listening to this song sung by Helen Reddy - original sung by Bette Midler, then it was recorded by Tanya then Helen - all within 3 years of each other. But I love this version - her voice is perfect with the guys in the background
I'd been eagerly waiting for them to release this since I saw videos of them singing it live with the various female artists who were opening for them before Christmas. And I wasn't disappointed, such a lovely set of harmonies. I hadn't thought of Van Helsing before for Tim, but I think you have a point.
Ok. My name isnt extremely common & ive hated it much of my life. UNTIL NOW!!! My favorite guys singing it, correctly i might add, is just a dream come true! & what an incredible addition Brooke is to this.... ❤❤❤❤
yes, their harmonies ARE dopamine producing. Listening to them has definitely improved my mental health. Brooke also paired with them for a Christmas one - Tennessee Christmas. I really liked that Tim's bass was more apparent in this one than it is in some of their videos.
Not a fan of this song, but they slayed it. I can't remember if you have ever done a reaction to one of Adam's drum solos. This video is from quite close and you can see a lot more of what he is doing. th-cam.com/video/bWsbD7vcwh4/w-d-xo.html
Sorry. Think I'm unique in not loving this. But love your Home Free reactions so much I enjoyed hearing your take. Not liking this is a personal disappointment because, being lover of all things 'Old West,' I was beyond stoked when the guys teased the outfits and, then, a grainy b&w image from the shoot. The guys have a new song/video premiering as part of a trilogy. Based on one of your previous reactions quite certain you'll be excited about what's to come.

Excellent term! They certainly tend to truly upgrade songs.

Why does every Home Free cover song sound like an Home Free original? They never disappoint. They're the best!!🥰
Loved you reaction and the song!
Home Free + Brooke Eden = Fire. This was so very awesome! Love your reaction!
This was awesome! From Brooke, Austin’s all out country twang, the harmonies, the setting, everything! Thanks for another great reaction! 😁❤️

Lynn, I still don't understand - do you mean it was the actual poncho that C Eastwood wore?? The hat is Austin's own.
@@patriciamcl54 it looks the same
Thank you for that info! There was something about it that made me look at intensely more than once.
@@patriciamcl54 yes he poncho

great song and great costumes Home Free always delivers ❤🏴
I believe they have a video coming out Friday of one of Austin's originals. It's one of a trilogy of videos they filmed recently that all fit together.
That is amazing news👏😁
Its called the Stargazer Trilogy. Get ready.
And Austin is releasing a gorgeous video on his own channel very soon. We are blesed!
Fire, Fire, Fire!! Ty so much for reacting to the boys and for being a fellow Home Fry!!
They can do any song, any genre, with anyone, and make it amazing. Home Free gets better with everything they do. Loved your reaction and can't wait for more.
Help ... I can't get this song out of my head ... well done Home Free , another harmony fest !!!! Love these guys !!
Other commenters and reactors have said Tim remained them of a country version of the wrestler "The Undertaker"
That also works so well😂😁
One of your better reactions. Thank you, and pray continue.
The guys and Brooke Eden are amazing singers. Brooke has a beautiful voice. Then all the guys...well... they are so danged good. Thanks again. 😊
Some of us just watched a brand new video on patreon..it's gonna be a trilogy 😍😍 how cool is that! Lol
Brooke sounds great with our boys 🤘🤠🤘 always love your reactions Lieben ❤
That sounds so fun, I cannot wait to see what it will be about👏😁👀
Those eyes! Wow. The ending was awesome. Thanks
Helen Reddy did this in the 70’s. I loved it then and really love this version. Anything Home Free touches turns to gold!!
All I can say is they did Tanya Tucker proud with this one. WOW!!!
Yep! They nailed this one, and Brooke really is the perfect addition to it! I never really liked this song, but HF has made me love it! They upgrade every song that they cover.
This one is fun! I remember it from the time it was released by Helen Reddy. Just wait for their next video-it is different and wonderfully so!

Austin's outfit is similar to Clint Eastwood in the movie A Fistful of Dollars.
