The Spectacular Spider-Man[b] is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama and comedy as well as a high school setting. However, it also tends to blend material from all eras of the comic's run up to that point in addition to other sources such as the Ultimate Spider-Man comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, as well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
That's the best advice you can give someone. This makes him my favorite version in all of media
Yeah you should definitely look up to him. He broke his own son's leg and framed him. What a good dad. The fact you misunderstood this so thoroughly is frightening.
@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 I mean, a lot of his actions are super evil. But here, telling someone to take control of their own destiny? I feel like this genuinely good advice.
@@rubenduenas5881 Fax!🤝🏻🐐
@@rubenduenas5881I mean it leads Harry to get addicted to Globulin Green so it's a bit questionable.
It's also pretty empty, what does "take control of your destiny" supposed to mean in the context of getting bullied, or having your friend flake on you or struggling in school? It sounds nice but means nothing, especially when Norman will get the final say anyway.
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259I have a feeling you’re depressed and have no life
Wanna pass a test? Study.
You wanna be popular. Be popular.
-Norman Chad Osborn(2008)
0:15 Noman does make some good points. I'll give him that.
Only person in the show🤝🏻😭🐐
1:35 The most diabolical Norman Osborn (not Green Goblin) - the one that smiles when someone offers him "human guinea pigs for more questionable experiments".
I mean, there was that time in another continuity he traded Harry's soul to the devil for business success. 👀
This version of Norman Osborn is my favorite. And he's basically the Green Goblin in full control. Norman Osborn is just a mask and his true face is the Green Goblin.
And with his fascination over masks in his office, Norman Osborn kinda shares similar traits with Gotham City mob boss Roman Sionis, A.K.A. Black Mask.
Yeah. Norman Osborn shares similar traits with these other fictional characters alongside Black Mask:
- Lex Luthor. (Justice League: Unlimited)
- Tony Soprano. (The Sopranos)
- Walter White. (Breaking Bad)
- Fire Lord Ozai. (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
- Richard Wheatley, Sr. (Law & Order: S.V.U. and Organized Crime)
- Gabriel Agreste. (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir)
- Noah Cross. (Chinatown 1974)
- Salvatore Marcano. (MAFIA 3)
- Anton Castillo. (FAR CRY 6)
- Odin. (GOD OF WAR 5: Ragnarok)
There was never a split personality thing with him like the films and Spider-Man the Animated Series made it
@@user-pm6nx1fs2w You got that right.
@@davidcase8635 spank you
YES! Thank you for mentioning Gabriel Agreste!
@@jareththegoblinking3191 The film made him a way better villain!
"Wanna pass a test? Study."
Okay, that makes sense.
"You wanna be popular. Be popular."
That's just useless though.
It means to do what popular people do, in Norman's case: be a winner by any means necessary and never let anyone see that they got you
This is actually a good reason how supervillains are created. Some random guy getting powers and deciding to be bad is less interesting than a criminal organization making superpowered thugs to stop the main hero.
It was the best retelling of this theme I've ever seen. Weisman knew how to retell Spider-Man. This show was such a love letter to Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and even John Romita Sr.
Same with SM 2003 .
@@logantrimble006 Sten Lee loves sm 2003 too.
Norman Osborn *actually* helping his son? This must be what spotting a unicorn feels like! 😂
Everyone calls this good advice...except for the writers who point out that except for the bit about studying, it's entirely empty.
What is "Be Popular" supposed to mean to teenager?
Apparently take drug enhancements but hey we know how Norman responded to that interpretation.
Harry just thought he’d be the best version of himself if he made himself stronger and smarter fast with something his dad developed
Great advice Norman!
everyone believes it's Norman Osborn here but in truth, it's the Chameleon. Why ? Because "Osborn" apologized to Hammerhead, but in this show, Norman Osborn never apologizes.
No it was Norman here. The only times Chameleon impersonated him was when he stole the Gobweb Inhibitor, to sneak on that ship and ron it as Spider-Man, ans when Goblin was making his final move to eliminate Spider-Man.
@@parkerboy795 But Osborn never apologizes and he does here
@@ceoofs. I think that's more along the lines of him never taking responsibility for anything wrong he did.
@@parkerboy795watch the last episode, harry figures out that the chameleon was sitting next to him in the helicopter because he apologized to spidey hours before.
It's simple.
@@ceoofs. I know. I'm saying there's a difference between him saying my apologies here to him taking responsibility for something that went wrong because of him.
Please make video on ultimate spider man also
Idk why (but probably bc I’m a werewolf fanatic), but I kinda wanna see a Marvel storyline (comic or cartoon, idc which) where Norman becomes a werewolf. I did find out recently that there is an alternate earth in Marvel where Norman becomes Goblin-by-Night, but I want a storyline in the main Marvel universe where he becomes a werewolf. It’ll probably never happen, but I can dream, can’t I?
Well it’s a weird idea but I don’t blame you. I have a better idea, what about man wolf
So Norman was working with someone to create SuperVillains and destroy Spiderman?
No to distract him.
0:10
This is hypothetical but if the series continued what would happen if Venom and Green Goblin/Norman Osborn joined forces and we get to see a Venom Goblin hybrid?
Red goblin exists but with carnage
@@TrueNegative420 Interesting, still imagine the combination of Goblin and Venom with their combined abilities and intelligence.
