- The three Sankai boys crossed a flooded river in search of new territories to conquer and almost had their dreams of new territories swept away by the flooded river.

The force of that water is huge. Shows how strong male lions are. They seem pretty experienced in crossing such rivers. The tactic seems the same flights use to land in windy conditions - face the direction in-between where one wants to go and from which the force is coming. Very impressive.
The lion that stayed back said 'Thank you: Now I'm king of my side'.

That's genius right there. The lions knew what they were doing, they used and navigated the water currents in the same way that sailors use the wind to sail and navigate boats. I think I've learnt something new today from those two lions. We have experienced devastating floods and flooding here in Kenya, East Africa, since about mid-April 2024, and should I find myself facing raging floods, I'll certainly remember the technique of the two lions above, at least try to. Wow. I've never seen any lions ever try to cross such a fast-flowing river! The lions I've observed actually seemed reluctant to touch water at all...this is incredible. Thanks for the footage.

Swept away? Nonsense! Of course they would by taken a little bit down river because of the current but that looked easy peazy for them. 20 seconds and barely any effort.

What a misleading video title , those lions weren't even close to being swept away. Even though lions don't really like water they are actually very good swimmers ! Massively powerful bodies , huge shoulders and paws like dinner plates really help !! Great video despite the title !!
Toughest beasts on earth.
The lion which stayed behind was simply making sure his colleagues cross safely before continuing to protect that side of the prides territory by himself. (You can put a positive spin on a lot of negative things/incidents if you try!)
