    LOVE LOVE LOVE these cookies❣ I used to make these delicious fried bow ties every Christmas with my mother-in-law who was from a sweet little town called Terlizzi, located in the province of Bari. Your Nonna is the sweetest ... She brings back such sweet memories of our dear Gina who passed away 10 years ago. Thanks for your TH-cam video Recipes .... They're great!

    I so love that you are making such an effort to save the knowledge of these Nonna’s. My Nonna’s were both born in Italy. One in Calabria and one in Abruzzi. Most of their cooking expertise, unfortunately went with them. Breaks my heart.

    I love your channel - it brings back many fond memories of my nonna Lollino. Grazie nonna Romana e Rossella for sharing some of the many beautiful traditions of Bari.

    Rossella, thanks so much for this bow tie cookies, we use to make these at home, my Mom also made a polish cookie ( my Mom got this recipe from her friend who was Polish. also called bow tie, it had almost the same ingredients except no wine, but the recipe called for sour cream. But thanks again, you brought me back with many memories of my Mom. Thanks Rossella your the best :)

    We have been making these for years. When I was very little my Nona made these by the bushel full. I would sneak and eat them and get caught because I left the trail of powdered sugar. My Nona has been long gone but she taught me everything I know in the Italian kitchen.

    I like your show, but you talk to much, it's annoying, if rather hear your noona because it's her recipes I'd want to learn !

    • @cookingwithnonna
      @cookingwithnonna  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Chanel Alexander nonna is wonderful and I try to let her talk as much as I can. I'm there to explain the recipe and steps just in case not everyone understands Nonna. Nonne have their own ways of doing things and they don't always explain themselves well when they get in the zone of cooking. This show is also about a relationship I have with each Nonna. I'm very happy with our format and I think people like to see the interaction.
