    You were 30 minutes late, and he had a 11am client, and it would have been rude to that client for your SA to take away from their allotted time to help someone else even if it was a matter of five minutes to wrap up the belt and ring you up. Had he had the full one hour with you, he probably could have figured out about the Kelly belt, so I think he was doing his best to help while being respectful to his 11am clients.

      Possibly but then why not just say, we can’t find the belt, I’ll call you if we do so as to not keep anyone waiting. I would’ve gladly paid for the item I got & left. No harm done.

    Ok, you were late, next client may have/likely also had an appointment. My boutique is extremely busy and 2 out of the last 4 times I’ve been, my SA has been 35-45 min late when I was on time for the appt. The first time I sat in the makeup section after browsing the whole store and just played on my phone. The second time when she was running late, I went next-door to have a glass of champagne and a bowl of soup because I was starving and she texted me when she was wrapping up. Next time if she’s running behind, I’m going to remind her of these instances where I was so patient and ask her to sit me in the men’s shoe section with a glass or two of champagne while I catch up on work stuff on my iPad 🤷🏼‍♀️ I drive an hour to the boutique and have been shopping with her for a couple of years now, she definitely knows this. I also know that she is trying to get other sales and cultivate relationships with new clients. So if she’s going to be consistently late, I would also like my time to be respected and just give me some champagne while I wait 🤣 especially when I have an appointment and she’s the one running late.
    But I know how it is with the doubt, worry, etc before you get your first quota bag. Just be patient and be clear, be respectful of their time too, don’t be late, etc. they usually have 1hr appointment times and often are booked back to back due to the demand. Don’t purchase online so your SA can get the credit/you get your pre-spend. If I see something online, I mention that the next time I go in the store and then they can just order it online for you in person. depending on the store’s policy, sometimes they can order online remotely if you text them about it for you as well. If it’s a super rare/hard to get item that you can’t wait to go into the store for, then it’s fine to just snag it (got a monochromatic vert comics Pegas PM a couple of months ago!) best of luck and be patient. Took me 1yr 7mo for my first quota bag.

      This is the best advice and I waited 1yr 10 mos for my 1st QB B30 sellier too. Many times I doubt I'll ever gat it. It's all worth it when he said 'welcome to Hermes' during the presentation. I still can't remember half of what went on but I'm sure my 10yr old daughter thought I was nuts.

    Been shopping H for 15-16 years. Yes before social media or reality TV. It has always been “difficult”. Waiting has always been an issue, with or without an appointment. However in the last 4-6 years the added issue of spend has come forward. So if you sign up for the H game you have to understand and be tolerant of their ways of doing things. As I see it, there is nothing that you can get online that has to be gotten online. Don’t do it. Yes there maybe a pair of Orans in a certain color that you need and if you find on line then get them, because color may never come back. But gold, noir, and Etoupe will always be available, so wait for the store.

    Hi C. Came across your channel and of course, I have to subscribe since I also live in NJ😊. My view is that you were late 30 mins and he was nice to tell you to still come in. As a courtesy, however, I think that he should have checked in with you during the 35 mins that you were idling waiting for him. This is how my SA always does it in a situation like this, which made me feel that I’m just as important as the other client. Alternatively, he could have told you the the K belt is not available and give you an option to continue to wait him to finish with the current client or have an assistant to ring you up on the belt that you decided to purchase. Anyways, if this is how he handles situations like this, then next time you know what you can do if you don’t want to wait around. Overall, I don’t think that you should stop seeing him since you seem to vibe with him. Don’t buy items online unless you checked with him. He obviously doesn’t want you to buy the k belt online since he has told you that he is locating one for you. It’s expensive so I’m sure that he wants to earn commission on it as well as adding to the x # of items that he needs to sell per month/qtr. Enjoy your H journey and good luck with getting your 1st quota bag.

    I would say it’s a toss up, you definitely got shuffled to the side. But you didn’t make a major purchase this time and you were late.
    He does have to make a commission living. I would see if he starts “talking “ about a possible future bag soon. If not , really see if he’s has you as a priority.

    Try to be punctual next time . If you know you are going to be more than 15 minutes late. Best to reschedule another appointment so you won’t put your SA in a tight schedule , plus you don’t want to be rush in trying to make your purchase either.

    Don’t let this appointment sour you. I’ve waited for my SA before. I’ve done the same walk around then sit down. If you’re not happy with the blanc just hold and exchange it. Have fun on your trip 🩷
    One more thing when I order with my SA items that are on line and not in store it takes longer. Many times I just order on line. Granted I’ve been shopping since Sept/Oct 2020 so I’m not trying to build a profile. It’s super nice of you to have your SA help you with every purchase.

    You were 30 minutes late to your appointment which put your SA in a tight situation with the rest of his appointment schedule. Sounds like he was trying to still fit you in even though you were significantly late and encroaching on his other more punctual clients.

    I think it was really nice of you to wait so patiently but I would not have been ok with that. He should've told you that the belt you were looking for wasn't available, and had you check out so you didn't have to wait 35 min for nothing. It would've only taken a few min of time away from that other client to do so.

    Hi C ❤ First this Oleada bag is so fun! Love the style & the canvas option.
    As per your Hermes experience, dont let it damp what you have going on already. Keep in mind it was also Father's Day weekend & they might have had alot of pressure on them from the start of the day.
    Should he have addressed you & not have you waited 35 extra mins absolutely, but maybe he just had alot going on in his mind.

    I would’ve just rung up the belt and left since you only had 30 minutes left in your appointment or ask to schedule another time slot that day. He was being nice to say look around, he didn’t know how to tell you his next appointment was there and he needs to tend to next client.
    Appointment slots are 1 hour and the SA does not like to be late for their clients appointment.

      This is helpful to know. Next time I won’t take him up on the offer to shop & come back. He did seem adamant about finding the belt though, so who knows 🤷‍♀️

My Hermes SA (and team) have always acknowledged and apologized sincerely to me when anything like this happens. I wouldn’t let this one time kill your vibe.. lol but I do totally get your frustration!

    You are totally right.. How we can spend some $ when nobody cares. I have the same issue here in Europe. They don’t have the stock, AS is not responding/ignoring, sometimes I see stuff online so I order it.. but nobody cares. 🤷‍♀️ I just dont get it…

    Does shopping online with Hermes contribute to your spend history in the same way as shopping at the boutique does? I had read somewhere it was different

      No, sadly it does not. Because it ultimately comes down to commission. Since they don’t make commission on the online purchases it doesn’t count in building your spend & relationship with your SA

      As I was checking out I asked if I should just purchase the Kelly online & he said to hold off for now. He was sure to either find it or get it sometime this week & asked when I’d be back from my travels, so we’ll see. The ball is in his court. But if another week or 2 go by & nothing, online it is!

    I’ve worked retail. He could have helped you first since you were pretty much ready to go. He could have apologized to both parties and said to the others, can you please look around while I help out my other customer. Thank you. Regardless if you were late or not some better communication could have been done. I love the belt, so pretty. It’s odd about the other one though, do you think they just gave your other belt away? 😮

    To answer your nagging thoughts. You wasn’t spending enough money and the other client was more of a priority.speaking as a frequent shopper and have obtain 6 quota bags since 2019. It’s my humble opinion.
