Been shopping H for 15-16 years. Yes before social media or reality TV. It has always been “difficult”. Waiting has always been an issue, with or without an appointment. However in the last 4-6 years the added issue of spend has come forward. So if you sign up for the H game you have to understand and be tolerant of their ways of doing things. As I see it, there is nothing that you can get online that has to be gotten online. Don’t do it. Yes there maybe a pair of Orans in a certain color that you need and if you find on line then get them, because color may never come back. But gold, noir, and Etoupe will always be available, so wait for the store.

I love holiday wish lists. I have a diamond tennis bracelet I never take off then some designer costume jewelry. I asked hubby for an everyday hard wearing bracelet with motifs but not one from a designer so we will see.

You can have a carry on luggage to put in the overhead bin. Then you have a a small luggage to fit under the seat and put your Chanel inside that one. If you sit in the middle or windows seats the space under the seat is very spacious. I managed to out an additional bag in the space under the seat.

I've had a year of Plantar Fasciitis and it was so bad I couldn't walk so I finally went to the doctor. Because I waited so long they had to treat it as a broken foot and I was in a hard cast, boot, crutches, scooter for 4 months, UGH! It's been a very long haul recovering but get yourself to the Dr who can give you an exercise program to build strength so you don't become worse/can start improving the condition.

I super appreciate you sharing a more personal update. I’ve been on the struggle bus as well and also juggle work, life, two boys (of my five kiddos) on the spectrum….so much like you, this community I’ve created on TH-cam has also been such a wonderful outlet for me as well. Hope you have a wonderful vacation and thanks for the reminder of the 18 summers. It goes by so fast!

I now try to manage it myself but there are two weeks a month I really struggle, the week before my period and the week of my period. It’s almost like I’m a completely different person.

They are both so beautiful. I think they have a similar vibe, top handle, a soft structure, minimal but they are different bags. I wish people would not compare the two. The Margaux is great. The Birkin is great. But they are different. The Margaux is my favorite. I love how light weight it is. I would also love to add the 15 to my collection one day.

I never spend anything on hermes and I got my 3 birkins (1 B35 Gold, 1 B30 black rose gold hardware + 1 B25 sellier etoupe) without appointments very easily perhaps because I am french I don’t know?

Congrats on the bag but your experience really isn’t out of the norm. You spent nearly 1:1 for a 30. Given you’re a new client this is not unusual esp if you’re not at a competitive store. It’s very likely subsequent bags will require much more effort. I’ve seen enough cases where they hook you in and then the next bag is 2-4x spend. Sm do need to approve the bag btw.

Exciting for you and your honesty on your journey. You're so right that everyone's experience is different. I, myself, had to wait 18 mos for my sellier 30 but my prespend was under like you too. I just have an intentional spending plan because I want it to be memorable so I didn't mind the wait.

I’ve had this bag for about a year now and I have to say I agree with your cons to the T! Great video. Using two layers of Obenauf’s and then buffing it out with a microfiber after it dries got out most of the scratches on it for me and restored the sheen. I wouldn’t recommend using it on anything other than black handbags as it tends to darken the leather. I also wouldn’t use it on lambskin. As far as cleaning goes coach leather cleaner has never let me down.
