NEW FAVORITE WEEKNIGHT MEAL | EASY AND DELICIOUS ONE DISH DINNER | SPEND THE DAY WITH US
Tuscan Chicken Bake:
To a greased baking dish add in:
2 cups of dried orzo
3 1/2 cups of chicken broth
1/2 cup heaving whipping cream (or half & half)
Add in shredded chicken(about 1lb.) - You can use a rotisserie chicken, or whatever cooked chicken your family likes
To season use:
Garlic powder
Paprika
Italian Seasoning
Small pinch of salt and pepper
Next add:
1 tbs. minced garlic
1 jar of sun-dried tomatoes (add in some of the oil from the jar) (chop your sun dried tomatoes if they are whole)
Add 2 big handfuls of chopped spinach
Mix this up and make sure orzo is covered by the liquid
Bake at 425 degrees for 40 mins.
Once you get it out of the oven, sprinkle in as much parmesan cheese as you like and enjoy!

General gardening rule for new plants. A year to sleep a year to creep and a year to leap. Use a goof fertalizer and plenty of water. It takes times for some plants to take root
The birds ate your sunflower seeds. Next time, plant them into pots indoors until they sprout to a good size, then plant them outdoors.

What an awesome backyard with the most beautiful gardens. I've been gardening for decades, and can still say, the best part about beginning gardens is the happy surprise at seeing your labor of love blooming. My Sunflowers were replanted by the squirrel family gardeners and grow all over the lawn. 😂

I covered my sunflower seeds with a piece of burlap until they were big enough the birds wouldn’t eat them. Seemed like it held the moisture in too. Love your videos ❤

Boy, that meal looked delicious! You know my mother in law who was Greek, would slice up frozen Italian sausages on place the slices on a pan, she’d bake them and squeeze fresh Lemmon on them to help the browning and crispness. Sooo good on tooth picks as an easy appetizer! Love you guys! 😊

You can attach a 2nd tomato cage on top of existing one and get more height. Cherry tomatoes grow til frost. I have them coming out my ears lol.
Thought he might try a trellis on the side it leans toward. Will he cause damage to the plant trying to get it through the 2nd cage?

Tomatoes plants always outgrow those cages! I usually arrange those longer stems to lay on another tomato cage. Also I buy knee high nylons to tie stems. It allows stems to grow and not bind them. I used those for years. Orzo is one of my favorite pasta too.

The pink flower that hangs is a very thirsty plant. If you stick your finger in the dirt and it is dry, it needs water. When it is really hot, sometimes I have to water it every day. It does require the sun. I love watching your videos.

When you took that Tuscan chicken dish out of the oven the sundried tomatoes were the color of cooked bacon pieces. And immediately followed the thought that cooked bacon pieces would probably taste great in that too!

One bush you can never kill is the bougainvillea! I had one that didn't survive a frost (so I thought)! I was so sad and I decided to cut it down to two sticks from the ground. I kid you not that next spring it had grown back and twice as beautiful as before!
The pink flower is an impatiens, it likes shade.
I made orzo for the first time after watching this, it is awesome and my daughter who is allergic to eggs can also eat it. Will probably start meal prepping for the week with it too. I’m not a natural cook and my husband has high expectations for every meal. 😊

There is so much to love about this video! 💜I have to say, that hair styler tool was impressive! But I also thought your “untamed mane” also looked great. Tomato plants are looking awesome! You may want to get a taller cage or a tall stake to help support them. With all the fruit weighing it down, it’s likely to snap. We are finally starting to see tomatoes on our plants. Hoping for a decent harvest. 😊 I love a good all in one meal for many reasons, but yes to eating it from a bowl! 😊 Mr. B was so into this video and that was a nice touch as well.

all the people in Kentucky saying...'ssshhhhh!!!!!, don't tell people that!'. haha Those tomato plants are INdeterminate, meaning they will grow until frost time, get tall and keep producing. Determinate varieties stay smaller and bushier, and only grow a short time and they are done. Just get a big stick and put down the middle and tie up the parts leaning over. Love the hydrangea!! It's my favorite flower! I would let her be until spring. Make sure to cover her base real good with some straw to keep it safe through winter. Also don't prune her stems until you identify which type she is, some you cut back in winter and some you don't. (learned that the hard way!)
Buy bamboo garden stakes. That's what I use when my tomato plants need support when they get tall. Buy garden clips and clip or tie the longer branches to the bamboo stake.
That chicken and orzo looks so good! I totally agree with you about Kentucky! It’s absolutely beautiful with the rolling hills,green grass, all the liquor distilleries and beautiful horses. I hardly ever comment but have been a loyal watcher for years. Love your videos.

Your plants in your yard are doing great! If Mr. Bunkey keeps it up, you may need to do canning if you don't already! The chicken dish looks delish. We will give it a try when it cools down around here.

KY girl here, August is still super hot here. Usually still in the 90’s during the day, upper 70’s in the middle of the night. And KY is beautiful, I love my stats but hate our weather, the humidity is horrid. And that dish looked delicious, I think I will try it .

May be an old wives tale, but I was always told to cut off hydrangea blooms before end of July to set new buds for next year. It’s beautiful!

I made this dish exactly like you said except I had different seasoning. I think my oven must be a little on the hot side. It came out browned but the orzo was getting really dried out. Takeaways for next time: watch it, don't cook it as long. And it needed ALOT more seasoning and salt because I used low sodium broth.I think it needs an italian seasoning, not just an all purpose mix. I can't wait to try it again! I wound up pouring some heavy cream/water in the cooked stuff, put foil on and let it sit covered for a bit to moisten it up a little.
Try a back deck above spice planter, and can use miracle grow for all plants. And maybe add a backyard firepit,would be nice for fall gatherings

Tomatoes are vine plants. My MIL used to put 12 or more inches of hay 3 or 4 feet around them, let rhem sprawl.
You might want a second blueberry plant.
