Great video and really nicely done. A small pair of questions for you... what type of blade did you use on your multi tool to cut the trim? And how did you protect the wood floor when you got close to the bottom of the trim? Many thx!
Jason man you should link your Podcast in the description as well. Love your work and your son is adorable.
Do you make plans for your projects? I would buy this one.
Edit: I see that you some on the website. This one would be a great addition.

.
Your son is a real character. Love him.
A true craftsman
I think that 50% of the reason I enjoy your videos is your sense of humor and that you don't take yourself too seriously. The there's the fact that you thoroughly explain stuff and are quite talented at DIY and videography. :)
Again, you have outdone yourself. White color looks much better than just a bare wood look.
In the world we live in today when it's left vs right politics, sexism, racism and everyone just trying to push there views this 3 mini series was a breath of fresh air. The first time in ages I forgot everyone is fighting everything and everyone. Absolutely loved it and this should be on tv. Looking forward for more. Keep up the good work.
Boom! Indeed... that looks so nice, great job! And let the wife pick the hardware, you are a very wise man... and she's got good taste because it just makes that cabinet sing! I'm sure you'll get a lot of enjoyment from your eloquentized living room 😁👍
Love your humor and especially the dancing.
My neighbors probably think I'm bat crap crazy if they watch me at all through my shop garage door. Sometimes I just can't help doing a celebration dance when something unexpectedly perfect happens, I'll take lucky over good any day.
Love the content, keep up the good work. 💪🏻👍🏻🤙🏻
The Bob Ross of woodworking, he has the same calm voice! Gorgeous and great instructions, I hope my husband and I don't botch this up!
Great video. Measuring tips were spot on! That bag of stuff in the wall Properly funny! 😅
Cheers from London England 👍😎🏴
After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans th-cam.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
Here are a couple trivial painting tips.. 1) use a canvas drop cloth in your kill room. This will keep the paint that falls on the floor from sticking to your feet, and getting tracked into your shop. You can get them in many sizes at Home Depot perfect for the kill room dimensions. Then open the plastic walls all the way so they drape onto the floor in the kill room. Place your drop cloth on top. This will protect against any spills that would penetrate the drop cloth. Added bonus this method is cheaper and faster than the paper method. If you’re going to keep making these rooms :/ 2) Have you tried a red sharpie for numbering your drawers? Not sure about you finish but so many paint finishes (if not stain blocking) red sharpie bleeds right thru. Again this is just a trivial item that feels better for my painters mind rather than tearing off the blue tape and all the finish... even though its hidden forever behind the drawer face. *takes a breath* old habits die hard.
Thank you for making such fun videos!
Harbor freight sells canvas drop cloths cheap. You can get 4x12 on sale all the time for 5.99. or the 4x15 for 10$. I also love those blue paper drop cloths. They have a thin rubber like coating that grips to the floor really well and also prevents bleed through. They last for a really long time, they fold up to almost nothing and best of all they're like 7$ on amazon. I prefer the 4x15 ones though. The larger format ones are just the 4 ft ones glued together and they always start to come apart pretty quick. They also hold blue tape extremely well for covering larger areas. But sometimes the weight of the canvas is just better.
Why even one thumbs down? Stop being a hater, yes, he is better than you or me building all this stuff and he is teaching us how to do it so we can become awesome too. Awesome video, this looks amazing.
Hey Bourbon Moth. I forwarded your video to my brother, who works for Mohawk finishing products. I hope you get a sponsor! 🤘🏻
I’ve been seeing this channel lurking around in my feed but never clicked on it, now I’m hooked on this guy. I’ll be back. Good stuff!
Wow ! I'm a carpenter from Quebec and must say this is a nice job ! Well done !!
"Boom indeed" compelled me to subscribe.
Try using steel wool over sandpaper on painted wood, less dust and removes high spots over scratching
15:45 You are so funny , i listen to you while cleaning ,love your free style narration !!!👌👍👍👍dum note Karl left hahaha !!!!! That was a very good and funny idea
Can I just say that you are the Bob Ross of cabinet making. You make this look so easy and your commentary is so relaxing. Love your videos and channel. Learned some new tricks and super excited to try them on my next build. 😁
I laughed hysterically when you said "that's what kids are for" because that's the line my dad always used on us when we didn't want to do a crappy job "I know it's crappy, that's what kids are for--so I don't have to do it. Now go do it." 😁
Wtf😅
Thank you for making necessary ad spots more bearable
Just about to build my wife her walking in closet. Thank God I watched your video first!!! Thanks a million
Even if I wasn't trying to build cabinets, following you like a apostle, I would watch you for your corny humour!!! Keep it coming fearless leader!
I love how informative your videos are, and I'm learning so much. But my favorite part of the video is the "care package" you left for the next owner who finds that whole in the wall!
i bought a 6x6 pop up canopy for my small garage…its perfect..makes hanging drop sheets easy..goes away nice and easy…a 10 x 10 would be perfect for your shop
That (little "time capsule") is FREAKING HILARIOUS! You the man.
Love people that have their children in the shop it shows and teaches them awesome work ethic and you never know they may invent a better way patente it become billionaires and take care of you in your old age 😀
The word you are looking for is Eloquentonate. Very nice work.
The time capsule, brilliant.....bloody brilliant!
Beautiful cabinets. Excellent demonstration.
The “Seed” product is quality. You look like a million bucks. Noom agrees with you.
Love the involvement of your little guy recently!
If your other videos didn't already tip me off, I'm now realizing that I don't have it in me to have this level of mastery. Your attention to detail in putting everything together first, taking it all apart, putting it back together, and all the tedious little steps to make it turn out just right - I'm just not patient enough, and my brain only has a "forward" button. Still, inspiring stuff, and learning a ton!
hi im already subscribed I am a carpenter from the uk and would just like to say that you are the most entertaining guy doing carpentry on U Tube keep it up
Spray paint on the inside of the doors first, less chance of seeing the stand offs in the paint. Since it’s on the inside of the cabinet.
Looks beautiful, someone is going to get lucky tonight!!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your videos are so entertaining. I don't understand how anyone would even take the time to give you a thumbs down?! Are they crazy?
I have just stumbled on this video and have to say that I think you are pretty funny. I like your sense of humor re the little surprise you have left for the next owners of the property. The cabinet is pretty awesome as well.
wow that came out amazing for a diy guy
I love this channel so much. All the popular DIY shows make this kind of stuff look like it happens in two seconds, but you really start to understand how much work goes into these projects when you follow along and realize how many steps are required to get professional results. The cabinet looks amazing. Thanks for showing us every step along the way (except the quarter-round installation 😂). I love the cabinet hardware your wife chose. It ties in perfectly. Would love to see this filled with all your stuff too.
Beautiful, my friend! Well done!
26:55 - "Nith and smooth"! Love it Jason! GREAT WORK DUDE!
So I painted all of my kitchen cabinets when we built them and I didn’t not have a good sprayer or a place to spray them. I tried the foam rollers and found them to be pretty terrible, and the back brushing is a lot of extra work. The absolute best method I found is using the Wooster 3/8” (or shorter) micro plush microfiber roller. It’s also a mini roller cover like the foam ones, but particularly if you get a paint that has good leveling, the micro plush leaves no lint and leave an incredibly smooth ALMOST sprayed look.
The celebratory “boom” at the end, was the perfect cherry on top 😂.
Great job on the cabinet and the video/editing. High quality all the way around. You deserve all 500+k views.
WAY TO GO CARL!!! Straight & Square WALLS!!!. Credit were credit is due.
That is a fantastic cabinet you should be so pleased with yourself
Anyone else notice how you sounded like Bob Ross when painting the top? A hair and some air 🌞. Beautifully done Sir
What jerks are giving thumbs down. Excellent content, beautiful work.
kudos bro. hard to watch an install vid this long and not get bored. ya done did it tho.
Nice work man. Really. One wood butcher to another.
I see how you many views, your work is 100% Grade A quality. You build things we all want to build.
Hysterical bag! Love your approach.
On your next paint project consider using Hydrolac primer from Sherwin Williams. I use it all the time and is perfect for these kind of applications.
Its water based, yet dries fast like if it were lacquer primer. Since it dries fast the grain in the wood dont rise as much so it makes sanding was easier. It also sands smooth like true lacquer primer.
That primer and the Emerald Urethane are a perfect combination for a project like this.
Great vid!
Do you have a link for the Hydrolac? I can't find any info on it here.
Nice work! Thanks to your little supervisor!
Every remodeled wall in my home has something hidden inside for future remodelers to find and yes, my name is Carl. Hahahaha! 🤣
i thought Bob Ross is explaining the painting.... a real nice cabinet..well done...greetings from germany
Nice project, well thought out and finished to a tee.
I love your videos! You're like, the Bob Ross of woodworking! Love your happy cabinets :)
DUDE, YOU ARE VERY TALENTED IN both, WOOD WORKING AND MAKING VIDEOS!!! 🙏🏻. Many thx!
It looks awesome. I love the hardware.
Knew you must be a socks-inside-the-house guy! Glad to see it finally confirmed : )
Will be doing this in the spring. Nice work.

17:50 I am blown away! This is really a first in the history of cabinet building!
Also 22:00 the word you were looking for is seamless! Sorry just had to say it.

I have a really hard time with drawers and hinges and you make it def easier. It's amazing that you taught yourself all of this. Keep up the great work, I've told tons of people to hit your channel up, they all come back to me having nothing but great things to say. God Bless, stay safe.
That looks SO good.
Great and beautiful built in cabinet. I hope when I'm in heaven that I get to see the reaction of the person that finds your surprise package in the wall. Thanks for a fun video !!

Turned out really nice. I love the vintage looking turn style knobs your wife picked. 😊
The cabinets are absolutely beautiful.
First time watcher and wasn't going to subscribe but then you made eye contact with my soul when you looked into the camera and i said yeeeees, so here I am
Superb work, great ideas and a lot to learn.
This has been an excellent series! Even knowing (most) these things myself I still enjoy your humor and have learned a few things from you methods. Great work and great channel!
Thanks for the video, I’m more o stain and finish guy but the wife wants the cabinets painted. So if this doesn’t work, I’m sending her over to you to explain
This channel is the Tim and Eric of the woodworking category!
You might wanna check out Sherwin Williams Kem-Aqua line. You will need to use a "business" account. It's a water based lacquer, of all things. It is amazing. Very hard. I just sprayed all my upstairs trim, doors, cabinets, and banister, with it. It will crackle a bit over caulk, but can be touched up with a foam brush. Crazy durable stuff. The cleanup isn't as smooth as most other water based paints. But, a but of denatured alcohol, etc will remove the fine traces in gun. Not very brushable (thin). I used some spilled paint in a lint free rag to saturate some MDF shelves. They came out slick.
Real nice job. Bet the BOSS liked it also.
Hi Moth, love your off the floor cardboard not very safe stapled to the clinging interesting spray gun stuff.
Thin tap water with multiple not standard not to heavy lightly dust free surface with the not thick and globby against the wall method! Tip tip out, Darn good up close smooth thrown down five or six coats of paints. Don’t forget the primed cab door top, Okay Love your bloody stuff. Did you need a key?
Love your site and work. Tack those pocket hole with inserted shims...dang I forgot the ryme on my belly. Dont put holes in your cabinets. But joints are okay and don’t forget those blue piece are best.👍
Just a hair flush 45 barely sticking up perfect crack and calk for that tipped drag brush thechnique! I’m sure you cant tell!.
Nice and easy with the glass. Perfect . Hinges are essential! Exquisite project.
You are one smooth sailing modest showman/carpenter/painter/builder professor. You do know what you are doing man and I enjoy watching this series. I have tackle a lot of finish carpentry work in my house, but I have never had the courage of making cabinets because I am afraid of you know what (square). I will watch all of your series, because I noticed that you have a lot of tricks that can make my fear a little less. Once I am done watching, I'll start with one small boxy cabinet using whatever I can gather from your videos. If it does not turn out right I can just throw it overboard, if it turned out right then I can go on building more. Sorry for my rambling, got to get to the videos.
Very nice cabinet build and great instruction to go along with it.
I just want to say that I really like your channel and your videos
Thank you for sharing
Fantastic result
