Thank you Capt Johnson for a very comprehensive tour guide of the PC-12 instrument's panel. Very impressive. Hopefully, I will join the the Pilatus Family.
The Honeywell Primus Avionics System is one of the best I have seen. It takes all of the guess work out of flying and adds another level of safety. Ease of operation is wonderful as well as the flight displays. The PC-12 takes flying to another level! Absolutely, one of my favorite airplanes. I like the TBM-850 but no comparison to the Pilatus!
Open question...Can the lower DU (MFD) be configured to display weight units in metrics (KGS)? All videos I have seen show weights are in standard units (lbs)
Keep this in mind, if you're so lucky to win the lottery.. You do not make this kind of money every year. Unless you plan to become a pilot purchasing the airplane is a money pit, rent the airplane when you need it. Invest in yourself College degree. Purchase modest house 4000 ft. or less. Property tax, Insurance, Utilities, upkeep, Buddy you're pouring cash into it every year so don't go crazy with the mega mansion. You need transportation you don't need a Lamborghini ($12,000 brake job) specially in a country which every square inches covered with speed limits 70 MPH or less. Purchase a Toyota or Lexus. Get married? talk to a lawyer before about a prenup. Tell her it's not there for the marriage it's there for the divorce. If you're married somebody who would normally not look at you before you became rich... she's a gold digger. Tell your friends/Family "I'm not your bank" quickest way to the poorhouse going into business with relatives or loan money to people who can't afford to payback. You will lose some friends/relatives but if they don't understand they were much of a friend to begin with. Learned from other people's mistakes watch videos on people who lost it all. The number one thing to remember "the money I have will set me free the money I seek will enslave me"
@@RudeMcNasty Thanks for the reality check brother! You know the old saying is true; "If it flies, floats, or fu***, you are better off renting it" ;) Have a nice day.
I'm not a pilot, if somebody can answer these questions that would be fantastic. How smart is the system, if somebody were to input LAX to Honolulu 2,559.88 mi will the system say" I hope you're really good swimmer" or some other message. In Europe there's really high mountain ranges if a pilot were to put a destination and an altitude that's insufficient to a clear mountains will Apex Avionics system alert the pilot .
The apex system is aware of how much fuel is on board, and a warning would alert the pilots before even starting the engine (if using the pre-departure clearance mode) that the flight can't be completed. And it also is equipt with TAWS (terrain warning system) and a radar altimeter so it knows the terrain in front of it and how high it is above the ground. You will get an audio and visual warning "Terrain, Terrain" but the plane won't avoid the mountain. That's up to the pilot.
I would like an APP for my i-pad that I could use to fill in my flight plan while at home, cab or in the FBO. The idea being all the detail work is done , total flight profile, departures, routes, FL, ALT field,( 0:00 to 5:00 of this video). Then after the onboard system start-up is completed, the FP is synced via bluetooth. A quick review of the transfer to the working system and you are ready for start up. The goal is to minimize idle time in the cockpit.
Unless they make the PC-12 a FADEC, it's just adding lipstick on a pig and unfair for an aircraft that will soon be competing with the Cessna Denali which has a very new and advanced engine with FADEC which decreases pilot workload. Pilatus is either going to have to spend some money on this plane or loose a lot.
Agreed. The touch controllers seem pretty nice compared to trackball or very small joystick. I think anyone that has used a trackball on a pc knows they work great but take some getting used to. I am ifr rated but only used G5000 in longitude in msfs. Do you know if xp or msfs has a honeywell primus apex?

Fine system, excellent review of its capabilities.
Amazing aircraft, the best singleturboprop ever! Thanks for the video!
That PC 12 NG is beautiful
Excellent presentation
Very good presentation, Very much like the apex system!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Wonderfully done video.

one tbm850 crashed in buffalo with barnes as pilot. Seems could be electrical failure or hypoxia? Does this plane have safeguards against that?
It has 2 main batteries, 2 300 amp generators, plus a standby battery. The aircraft is pressurized with an 02 back up.
Превосходно! Замечательная авионика... Сколько вложено трудов... Спасибо за обзор!
The honeywell apex alone is a selling point for this aircraft. I cannot believe how easy it is to navigate and fly IFR.
But no Autoland/Homesafe function
@@NoName-jl7gs Where is the fun in that
Very instructive! Thank you
Собрано, информативно и безопасно! Молодцы! Спасибо за представление ещё раз:)!
no more searching for those jeppesen charts each time you prepare for approach!! :D
Awesome video...very detailed and it certainly helped to get a heads up before indoc.
It's about as good as it gets. It's a fine flying-system.
SOLD.... I'll take one in red please.

Dear Santa ...
I have a picture of this very PC12 that the demo pilots let me take back in 2013. Pic is so beautiful I'm sure Pilatus themselves would pay for it.
sweetcheels wow
sweetcheels b
Please, do this avionics to X-Plane 11 ASAP PLEASE kkk
Quality actually justifies the price!
(Almost) 😂
Awesome aircraft.
Is this the standard avionics package for the NG or is this suite an option?
So how far and how many hours of operation on a full tank of fuel?
I love this airplane
great airplan
As soon as I win the lottery I will buy one.
Tron You better win over $100 million after taxes.

Glen Webber thanks for your excellent advice
Be sure to win a big one.

yeah i think that would be sick and i think this will happen soon!!!
Try this: www.foreflight.com
Honeywell provide an app that interfaces with Apex to do exactly that 👍
Where can I go to get a demonstration flight ?
What will be check up flight endorsement price $$$
How much is the Pilatus PC-24 cost (Exchange Vietnam cash)?
Could a trim condition have caused the auto-pilot to kick off on the recent crash from yesterday? (Gospel family crash)
How much is PC-12?

Unfortunately apex is far behind garmin g3000 .

I have probably over a thousand hours flying the APEX. And I simply do not like it.
