Thank you, that was a nice and fun tour. You know how to make an interesting video. As a UGA alum x 2 (bachelors and masters) it was interesting to see many of the changes.
Lots of people do bring their cars but you can definitely get around in other ways! Specifically for campus, most people walk, ride the bus (UGA buses and Athens Transit), or have bikes and scooters. All the freshman dorms are within walking distance from downtown so that’s not an issue either! And you meet so many people that do have cars that you can always tag along with. My roommate’s brother is a freshman and didn’t bring his car and doing just fine! The only time I used my car freshman year was to go off campus for dinners, hangouts, shopping, etc.
@@JakeandEmily1 how was living in the ECV community. Did you feel like you had a good freshman experience. Also how difficult is it to secure the high rise dorms?
I had the worst roommate luck, so I didn’t really get a good freshman experience. I will say if you want the typical freshman year experience, do high rises or low rises 100%. ECV was cool because I got to see Jake Fromm and other football players daily if you’re into that, but it’s not social and VERY hard to meet other freshman because it’s all athletes and upperclassmen (even though the rooms are nice). High rise dorms go very fast. Creswell is usually last to fill (out of all the high rises) because it’s the oldest building though. Low rises are a good option!! You really get to know everyone more than high rises because there’s less people if that makes sense!
This was super helpful as a prospective student, since tours are few and far between!❤️
I completely understand! If you have ANY questions, you can always DM me on Instagram or something! -Emily
Go Dawgs. Wow!! Great job guys. You make wonderful tour hosts. Thanks for showing me around campus.
I’m going to remember that “go dawgs” when UGA plays Auburn...haha!
Great video! Mom to a new Freshman in the fall. We’ve been to campus twice but it was good to see you drive it and point out buildings!
Congrats! It’s a big campus but gets smaller and smaller the longer you’re there and learn your way around!!
It's sad the students can't be out and about but glad they aren't under the circumstances. Would love to see a glimpse of the arches sometime.

Congrats on your degrees! And yeah, it seems like there’s construction just about every semester!
@@JakeandEmily1 Thank you!
Great tour! Looking forward to visiting for a game! Boomer Sooner!
Hopefully the atmosphere will convert you over to the dawg side! Haha
That was awesome. I've been around the area but never an actual tour! Great job!
Glad to be your personal tour guide! haha
Good jobs guys. I've been on campus several times in years past and never realized just how big it really is!
You really can’t tell until you’re in Athens!!
it is an awesome school. I live 2 min. from stadium ,fun, fun, fun
We absolutely love it!! Go dawgs!
Atlanta or Tbilisi?
Since the campus is so large, do most people have cars? or are there other ways of getting around other than walking?

What rooms did y’all have freshman year?
I (Emily) lived in Lipscomb and Building 1516 freshman year! Jake transferred in so he didn’t live on campus. You have any questions?
